Christmas is just around the corner. And you know what that means... you can feast on traditional Christmas dishes such as turkey, pudding, and all those creations which make this season merrier. But wait, we rounded up some of our favourite restaurants with Christmas promotions. Check out what they have to offer this year!

Italians are known for celebrating Christmas with fantastic food. If you want to have a taste of it, head on down to Zafferano and indulge in its special Christmas Day 2013 Menu. For only $98++, diners can enjoy a four-course menu consisting of an Antipasti of Foie Gras Terrine or Salmon Carpaccio; Primi Piatti of Classic Meat Tortellini or Lasagnetta Lobster Au Gratin. Just like any Italian meal, there’s a Secondi Piatti with three options: Pan Seared Escalope of Sea Bass, Veal Cheek Braised in Amarone, or the Roast Stuffed Chicken Breast. Last but not least is the dessert made with white meringue and fruits. It’s that sweet ending to a satisfying Christmas dinner. When you dine at Zafferano, you won’t just enjoy the menu created by a true Italian chef. Situated on the 43rd level of Ocean Financial Centre at Collyer Quay, you can also witness the Marina Bay bathed in lights. The Christmas Day menu will have a 7pm and 9pm tasting. Who hasn’t heard of Spathe Public House and its gigantic serving portions? For Christmas 2013, Chef Claudio Sandri has done it again with a menu inspired by holiday dishes he grew up loving. The items are divided into four categories: FROM THE SKY where diners can opt for The Traveller ($28) – a classic French roasted pigeon with an Asian twist; Red Nose Duck ($28) – succulent duck breast, Parisienne-style gnocchi and red fruits poached in spiced red wine; and the Whole Roasted Quail ($28) – sautéed with Brussels and served with Spatzle egg dumplings. FROM THE FIELDS consists of dishes like the Braised Suckling Pig ($42 for 2 pax) or The Turducken ($159) layered with quail in a chicken in a duck in a turkey. For something lighter, Chef has prepared the Beef in Soup ($19), a flavoursome dish cooked in oxtail broth. For seafood lovers, FROM THE SEA is where you can indulge in the impressive Seafood Stack ($178) just filled to the brim with fresh prawns, lobsters, and more! For these dishes, an advanced notice of 3 days is required. FROM LOVE OF SWEETS is last, but not the least. For durian lovers, there’s the Durian Log ($18) which is made of premium San Ba Wang flesh. Traditional items are also included such as the Christmas Pudding ($12), which is flambéed on your table upon order. Boathouse gives you two options on how you want to feast for the holiday: a Four-course Christmas Dinner ($98) and a Three-course Christmas Brunch Set ($38). The first option features wintry luxuries such as the Smoked Salmon Parfait encased in a tart, Foie Gras Vol Au Vent, Slow Roasted Turkey Roulade with Chestnut Stuffing, and the decadent Hazelnut Praline Log Cake. As for the Brunch Set, you can get your fill of starters such as the Smoked Salmon, Cauliflower Soup, or the Smoked Duck Breast and Duck Confit; main course of Eggs Benedict, English Breakfast, or the Christmas Breakfast with the delectable turkey; and dessert of Praline Log Cake. Christmas is bound to get more French at 2fifteen Kitchen. This secluded restaurant at One Rochester Mall has a tantalising menu just to celebrate the birth of Christ. For only $98++, foodies can enjoy a five-course menu which consists of premium ingredients commonly used in this cuisine. Take, for example, the appetiser of Wine Poached Lobster and Tataki Hokkaido Scallop and Confit of Octopus in Fennel and Tomato Broth. For more filling items, the Chef has prepared Braised Australian Wagyu Beef Short as one of the main options. French are known for their desserts and at 2fifteen Kitchen, it’s the Christmas Berry Cheesecake Bombe Alaska –rich, velvety, and smooth! For the coming festive period, you can count on Spuds & Aprons to serve you with something special. Despite being in business for only a few months, the Chef has taken the time to come up with a delectable Festive Set Lunch ($40) guaranteed to fill your tummy. For the appetisers, enjoy the Smoked Turkey Breast and the Bisque of Crab and Butternut Squash. These items will open your palate to make way for the main courses - a choice of Pan Seared King Salmon or Honey and Cinnamon Glazed Rack of Pork. Christmas dinner need not be extremely expensive. At Earle Swensen’s, you can dig into a delectable four-course set menu consisting of Western classics. To prepare your appetite, have an unlimited flow of the appetisers at the salad bar first. Once you’re done, warm your tummy with the Roasted Pumpkin Soup before ordering the main courses: Earle’s Traditional Christmas Platter ($33.80++*) or Earle’s Christmas Sausage Platter ($29.80++*). Dessert is kept simple yet classy with the Ice Cream Brownie. It still gives that sweet ending to the meal, doesn’t it? The Christmas platters are available from 1 to 31 December 2013.

Located atop Mount Faber, Faber Bistro will give you the best of both worlds for Christmas: majestic view of the harbour while you feast on the Chef’s food specialties worth $68++. For starters, he has prepared the Chilled Crab Salad to tease your palate on what he can whip up in the kitchen. After that, be wowed with his Slow Roasted Fillet of Beef which is served with root vegetables, daikon, potato gratin, and mushroom jus. End it on a high note with the Toffee Apple Crumble. Christmas is always the time for log cakes, turkeys, and all that traditional Christmas mains. Want something different? Head over to Hinoki at China Square Central. This popular Japanese restaurant has done up a festive menu, worth $98, and features top grade seafood ingredients. It starts with the Fresh Salmon Roe and Century Egg Tofu, followed with the Assorted Sashimi and Home-made Tuna Consomme. These are just the preview; for heavier items, they have the Charcoal Stove Paper Hotpot (perfect for the rainy season) and the Fresh Bamboo Shoot & Turnip under Snow. Those of you who have heard of Hinoki would know that this restaurant is popular for sushi. So, the chef has included an Assorted Sushi Platter. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, especially when you spend it at The Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens. On the 25th of December, the restaurant is having the Buffet Brunch where diners can savour over 40 festive gourmet specialties spread out from the different stations. Some items available are the Braised Beef Bourguignon with Pearl Onion, Roast Turkey Breast, or the Crisp Belly of Free Range Pork. The Halia’s signature items are also making an appearance on this special day. When you do come here for a feast, make sure you try the Halia Chilli Crab Spaghettini.
