Nestled on a hillock at Harding Road, this multi award-winning flagship restaurant offers two settings: an air conditioned interior complete with sophisticated wall paintings, as well as a romantic al fresco that blends into the restaurant into a luscious greenery. It was my birthday and what better than French for the one who loves anything French - culture, music, books, movies, history and yes, food! I loved the secluded setting of this classy, elegant French restaurant - the indoors exude old-world charm while the outdoors lends serenity from nature, with its gently flowing waterfalls and rocky walls. The ambience was totally tranquil, marvelously enchanting and romantic. My main course - Black Cod came next - another buttery smo...

We had dinner at this French restaurant located in Dempsey. It was fully packed and boy were we glad we had made reservations. Appetizers were escargots, and French onion soup. Both tasty. For mains, we had steak. Nicely done in medium rare.Dessert was fantastic, I loved their Profiteroles!Service was great, and the ambience was dark and romantic. It was our wedding anniversary, and the service staff took the trouble to prepare a slice of cake, with "happy anniversary" written...

The restaurant features Chef Paul Longworth’s strengths on contemporary French cuisine, savour signature dishes like the cassoulet of duck leg confit, Black Angus prime rib served with garlic and shallots confit and red wine braised Beef cheeks are just the few masterfully crafted dishes by the chef. Pork rillettes, Violet mustard & sage The Pork Rillettes were traditionally made with fatty pork belly or pork shoulder, shredded, seasoned and cooked slowly over low heat unti...

It was our first anniversary yesterday, and we decided to settle for somewhere at Dempsey Hill to celebrate because of its romantic ambiance (we assumed). In the end, my bf reserved two seats at Au Petit Salut, which specializes in French cuisine, for it's 3 course lunch set meal. The meal sets us to about $36++ for each, totaling $80 odd. It was actually gloomy yesterday, and we could have opted for seats outside. Didn't imagine that the weather would be rather cooling, ...

The restaurant exudes a warm and romantic vibe. Diners are greeted with lush greenery as they make their way to the entrance of the restaurant. Alfresco dining is available. It is cooling but I am not sure if there will be mosquitoes though. Flaked smoked Haddock, beetroot, Hibiscus puree and Ko Giku flowers This dish was really good. The haddock was supposed to be salty and it was balanced well with the light flavour of the beetroot. I do not like salty food but I could tell tha...

Business lunches, as what the phrase implies, usually involve the discussion on work-related issues. Au Petit Salut (APS) at Harding Road was often used by my co-workers for business lunches. Not that it was all that good of an option. You have a good mix of suits and tai-tais. And you can imagine the din in the closed indoor dining area. The noise sure is distracting. That's why I prefer seating outdoors under the fan and soaking in the sounds of the waterfall f...

See more food reviews at http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com Au Petit Salut is the posh sister restaurant of the casual bistro Chez Salut over at MBFC. I much prefer the tranquil garden locale of the former to the cityside bustle of the latter. Service was discreet and professional, but warm enough to feel personalised. Save for the long gap between our mains and desserts, we didn't have any complains about their almost stellar service. The long wait for our sweets may ha...

Love the tender, well cooked stew beef here that os served with a delightfully flavoured mash potato and steamed vegetables. The stew beef is cooked in an aromatic sauce that contains five spice and the dish is really delicious. The sauce of the beef goes great with the mashed potatoes which are also good on their own.Portion size is good and can be shared among people.

A very high-end restaurant which is good for business lunch and also for a romantic meal with your loved one. Tried one of their starter dish which is seared Hokkaido scallops with crunchy vegetables, citrus and anise foam. The anise foam is quite sour and disappears after the first bite of your scallops. The scallops used are quite big and juicy. The side ingredients used in this dish is just alright. This dish is served really cold but I think would be better for them to prepare i...

Have went to this fine dining place with my hubby for our Wedding Anniversary on last month. Heard from our friends that they have very nice steak, so we decided to check it out. Within our expectation, the steak was thick and juicy. Eventhough I have tried the medium and near to well done version, it is not tough and taste was fantastic. The mashed potato is very fine and smooth, just like tasting 'very fine fresh cream'. However with some red wines, simple dessert and app...
