This is really the place to go if you are someone who likes to dine in peace with no hustle-and-bustle. Great thing is the food is competitively priced and good. Menu is extensive with both western and Chinese dishes.   Also the best place to go on a first date - provided you have wheels- continue reading

The breaded shitake mushrooms ($5.80) were very crunchy and the crispy soft shell crabs ($12.80) were the bomb man! Super tasty with the curry mayo sauce! Very unique, first time ate soft shell crabs with curry mayo sauce. Slightly oily though. Can’t get enough of those crabs… yummy! Good place and vintage ambience to relax and enjoy those bites and finger food. Not much of a crowd as well. Can choose to sit inside or outside to enjoy the seaview and breeze.http://phuachiuyen.wordpress.com/2013/12/02/beaulieu-house-sembawang-park/ continue reading

I wanted to dine by the seaside, so after tossing out several options such as Punggol Marina, Changi and the dirty beaches literally, we settled for Beaulieu House. It is a restaurant converted from a beautiful black-and-white house, and has minimal outdoor seats becaue of N Parks' rules. We had the Grilled Boneless Chicken with Rosemary and Red Wine was being served - red wine reduction, actually. Don't be fooled by the plainness of the food, the capsicum and onions are buried beneath the huge piece of chicken. We had not expected the chicken to taste good - but the first bite proved us wrong. The tender meat was well-marinated with a tasty flavor that was resplendent of rosemary and a little spices. We also ordered a Horfun with sliced Sirloin beef and egg in black bean sauce (wet) - meanting, with gravy. This delicacy was silkily-smooth and full of ingredients such as Sirloin beef slices, capsicums, carrots and onions. The Horfun had a slightly charred, smokey aroma to it, and the Sirloin beef slices were tender and delicious. The overall taste of the horfun was really good, we were impressed. Finally, dessert of Lava Chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream and banana slices. The soft, delicious cake was warm and had hot chocolate oozing out, like lava after a volcanic explosion. By dipping the babana slices and vanilla ice-cream into the hot chocolate fudge, this was another level of enjoyment altogether. This was the perfect finish to a delicious meal. For more detailed information and photos, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/03/dinner-at-beaulieu-house.html continue reading

I will recommend this place for romantic dinner and a place to chill with your friends. This place is quiet with smoothing music playing at the background. Not only that, they serve both Western and Chinese menu! You can have the best of both worlds.I would say, they specialize in Western rather than the Chinese cuisine. The mushroom soup did not amaze us.But...their main course did!The salmon steak is a big hit! Yummy to the max! Unlike fries or whipped potato, the main comes with potato gratin! What takes us away is the food presentation and with the potato gratin, it is impressive! Price: $29.90Teriyaki Chicken is equally nice! Price: $23.90Chicken wings is okay, nothing spectacular. Price: $7 Salted Egg with Milk Crab is o-k-a-y too. Price: $34Overall, you will have a mix feeling after you walk out of the restaurant because not all the dishes in the menu take your breath away. Their main course is fantastic on the other hand their Signature Chinese dish which in this case the Salted Egg with Milk Crab is average.Probably they have different chefs that cater to different cuisine so there's different in standard. Thus, it count on your luck and the choice of dish you pick will determine if this restaurant is a hit or a miss...I will still go back, this time for the pasta! continue reading
