Recently there has been a wide spread of new shops selling frozen yogurt with honey comb. One such outlet is Beegurt which is located at Upper Thomson Road. The shop is quite small with a couple tables indoor and another couple tables outside. The place is bright and simple looking with its white wash walls. The frozen yogurt is available in 3 cup sizes : small, middle and large. Besides the original flavour, there is also mango flavour which available at an additional topup of $0.30. There is various toppings to go with the frozen yogurt from the raw honey comb to sauces (white chocolate, caramel, dark chocolate), to fine toppings ( coconut, caramelized powder, nuts, sunflower seeds and digestive powder), to Wet/ dry toppings ( banana, rock melon, mango purée, nata de coco, mango, strawberry purée, cornflakes, rainbow colored rice crisps, multi grain, and marshmallows ). The honey comb topping costs $1.80, while the other toppings costs $0.90 each.I decide on a large cup which costs $6.50 and comes with 3 free toppings. I also upgrade the frozen yogurt to mango with $0.30 additional, plus $0.90 for additional topping. And not forgetting the must have honey comb for $1.80. So in the end my cup of frozen yogurt costs $9.50. For my 4 toppings, I have selected sliced banana, diced rock melon, multi grain and sunflower seeds. The cup of dessert looks much smaller than expected, especially the piece of honey comb. The honey comb is slightly bigger than teaspoon size, but tastes yummy and not too sweet. The mango frozen yogurt has a slight tart taste and not too sweet. Overall the cup of dessert is yummy and delicious but quite expensive for this price. continue reading

I was traveling around Thomson area, in search for food when this small little shop was spotted in a corner. Thomson V Two was the name of the building. My brother & I decide to give it a shot as the yellow logo quite attracts us The unit was small, less than 10 seats,  and no decorations was seen around the interior. A very basic shop dressed in white. Nevertheless, we proceed to order our cold treat.Beegurt basically sells frozen yogurt with New Zealand raw honeycomb. Their Beegurt special consists of yogurt with honeycomb + 2 toppings. Toppings from fresh fruits to nuts to chocolate & candies for you to choose from. For $6.80, the portion is abit small but taste won over the size..I like their smooth yogurt texture with milky aftertaste & the honeycomb is good.. The sweetness is not too overpowering & I love it  It was drizzling outside while we are enjoying our frozen yogurt.. Cold weather is best accompanied with frozen yogurt or ice cream! Shiok to max!! continue reading

For the full review and more photos, please visit http://makanarts.com/2014/10/17/beegurt-thomson-v-two/Yogurt with honeycomb is usually unheard of in Singapore, but with the recent openings of dessert places, it is now glad to know a new place that specializes in that has surfaced - Beegurt.Beegurt's specialty is, of course, yogurt with honeycomb (probably the first in Singapore as well), though normal yogurt with toppings are also available. At the point of visit, there was a week-long 1-for-1 promotion. The Yogurt with Raw Honeycomb ($6.80) comes with 2 toppings (I chose Fruit-Os and Caramelized Biscuits). The yogurt is creamy, sour and the honeycomb is sweet and sticks to the caramelized biscuits! The sweet and sour combination makes this a enjoyable dessert to have!Being at the Upper Thomson / Sin Ming area where the crowds are at makes Beegurt a great dessert place to chill out at if you want to avoid the ice cream parlours, so why not give this place a visit? continue reading
