There are many Korean restaurants in Singapore now but I have not really tried them. For a Korean restaurant, the only Korean I saw was a manager. The wait staff were mainly Filipinos so they could not really provide me with a whole lot of information other than what was on the menu. The Char-grilled Bulgogi ($22) looked really appetising so we ordered that, along with a side order of rice. The meat was lean and the marinates were tasty. Could go for seconds.

Birthday feast at Bibigo
Smile 2012-12-11

Bibigo's menu is not extensive but don't let it fool you. The three dishes we ordered were all awesome and it truly is a classic case of quality over quantity.

The Fried Mandoo ($9) were like Chinese dumplings and I found it strange that it came with a soy sauce dip. I ate it on its own and it made for a nice appetiser. My only gripe is that it the price seemed on the high side.

Next, we had the famous Ginseng chicken soup ($22). This dish is apparently quite popular, and can sometimes be sold out early in the day. I found this dish unique as it was stuffed with glutinous rice. It can get a bit messy when you are trying to slice the chicken and the rice just spills out. The broth was tasty, and the whole dish is very satisfying.

My favourite is the Hot Stone Bibimbap ($16). There is a selection of grains you can go for, and in my opinion, everyone should choose the black rice. It is sticky, but not cloying, and the grains have so much flavour and are plump and chewy. You really need to try it to find out. Mixed with the sauce and the vegetables, it was so delicious and yet so healthy (no fried or oily stuff) that you really have t hand it to the Koreans.

Bibigo - Healthier choice
Smile 2012-06-28
I came to this restaurant when it first opened a couple of months back. I love my Korean food and bibimbap is one of them on the list.

The concept is healthy eating, my friend ordered a hot stone bibimbap each, with my condiments being non-spicy. We also ordered fried zucchini, something like tempura chicken and it was quite oily, but the paired sauce made it so yummy we polished the whole plate.

it is a healthy choice.

Healthier choice of Korean Cuisine
Smile 2012-04-26
If you are looking for a healthier choice of restaurant, try here.
If you are a lover for Korean food, try here.
I hate bean sprouts, but I love their bean sprout in the stew! No strong taste of bean sprout, but crunchy bean sprouts to give your mouth a better chewing experience!
If you love fried rice cake, theirs have a different texture, their rice cake are crunchy outside and springy inside!
The portions are rather big, so don't order too much smile

Healthy choice of korean food

Bibigo
Expect a queue of 15 minutes at least on a Friday or weekend evening. The place is packed with customers from all walks of life and I think its main appeal is how it serves healthy cuisine without compromising on taste.

With hot stone bibimbap, bibimbap and bibigo rice, you customize the 1. Rice (white/black pearl/white brown/white barley) 2. Protein (Bulgolgi/chicken breast/chicken teriyaki/grilled spicy pork/tofu) 3. Sauce (Kohot-their original hot sauce/Ssam - soy bean paste / Citrus Soy/Sesame).

Bibigo is one of my favourite Korean restaurants. We ordered a few dishes and one of them was the sweet and sour pork. It costs $13.90 for the dish which tastes extremely tasty. I like the way the pork is cooked as the pork is very fresh and the seasoning of the sauce is great.

The only squabble that I have is the slow moving queue. That is, of course, due to the limited spaces that they have. Of course you can’t expect to finish your meal here like how you can just chow down a bowl of fish ball noodles. The food is pretty nice and tasty if you mix the right sauces together. I personally, will avoid the spicy sauce as it’s just too funky for me. A nice hot and simple soup makes up for a hearty healthy meal.

very commercialize korean food
Cries 2011-12-13
Had lunch at this place one of the day at raffles city where you dont see crowd compare to others. Out of curiosity we gave it a try.

It wasent a pleasant meal. The menu has limited choice and the service are lousy, it takes forever to serve us. Menu range are limited and the set meal i ordered are small portion, Kimchi stew with no meat, too spicy and i dont taste the kimchi at all and brothy beef taste either.

Furthermore set lunch dosent come with drinks and it still cost us about sgd20 per pax which it can be too pricey for a normal korean food.

Took quite some time to get to my seat on a Friday night, during the queue, the waitress will give you a look at the menu and take down your orders. Bibimbap served with sauces of your choice, it caters to everyone’s taste, even if you are a non-vegie lover. The food on an overall is good but tends to be pricey. All I can say is that this store gives me a very clean feeling; hygienic.

Bibigo serves really tasty and unique Korean food. They have a creative menu selection whereby you can choose the kind of rice, ingredients and sauce to cook the meal. They serve Korean tapas such as noodles, vegetable pancake and more. I ordered the bibimbap hot stone pot which costs around $15. It tasted great with the vegetable and sauce.

authentic korean food
Smile 2011-09-26
I went to bibigo to try their kimchi fried rice. I was kind of spoilt for choice as I could not decide what to have. All the food they sold were authentic Korean food. The kimchi fried rice was the best. Really delicious. it was not too spicy. The kimchi taste was really strong. The dish came with a fried egg and seaweed. It was served on a stone pot which kept the rice hot for a longer time.

We decided to try out Bibigo located at Raffles City shopping centre. They serve really great Korean food at average price range. It costs around $15 for the stone pot Bibibamp. It tastes really great with the sauce and variety of fresh ingredients. The ambience is nice for a chat session while enjoying the food.

Sweet!

The colours for the bibimbap are so exciting! One look at the picture, you must be thinking I'm eating some vegetarian meal at first glance eh?
Tried on the black sticky rice for size for this beef bibimbap set. The soup was quite plain but the side dishes were of some good quality. The greens were exceptionally fresh!
Now, the main attraction, the hot stone bibimbap. Everything was great, the sesame sauce was tasty. There's really nothing to complain about except that it's rather pricey, otherwise, a must try!
Service staff, mostly teens, were smiley but beyond serving your main and taking your order, the juniors did not take the initiative to refill my drink despite standing together to chit chat. Oh well...

guiltless food galore
Smile 2011-03-19
This new chain introduced by my cousin, Bibigo, is a franchise from Seoul itself and has preivously opened first in the States before finally arriving in our Raffles City basement!

Their signature dish was definitely the customize bibimbap (hot stone mixed rice) from the choice of rice, either barley white to black pearl rice, then the meat should it be chicken, beef or vegetarian.

It was a totally new way of eating and a presentation that you wouldn't find anywhere at any Korean store! The fresh vegetable is placed at an interesting packaging and the spice is then mixed to our own, and there was a dash of almonds on top of the rice!

Took the black pearl rice to give such experimental dish with gochujjang paste - the usual red paste. There are many other different types of sauce you can choose as well, that comes in a packet instead of a sauce dish.

The taste was different - it was more raw and clean since it was definitely less or even no grease than the usual - no half boiled egg as well. It has a clean finish to your tongue and you definitely have space to eat for dessert! The portion is slightly smaller than most place, it just sits nicely in your tum with the kimchi side dish as well and anchovy top.

I mean yes I prefer the greasy one... tongue cos it has more taste... but as for the whole presentation this place is totally pretty and super health conscious that when you eat more you don't feel the guilt at all! lol

Service tends to be quite slow as when you come at a lunch hour its always, always fully packed.

TOPS!

   the set!
