We had chanced upon Bibik Nio when we were buying Don's pie the other day and mark this as a must visit place. Hidden in just one corner of the mall, Bibik Nio might be overlooked by some shoppers. The name Bibik Nio with its peranakan tiles interior furnishings had hinted us the nature of business as well as its cuisine. Seating were minimal and can hold about 10 pax with narrow walkways. However many were seen "taking away" their food.The alacarte style of mixed vegetable rice had given a shocked of my life. A plate with rendang chicken, mutton and egg were too expensive. Overall taste was usual, dishes did not have prominent taste in peranakan flavours, nothing to shout about.Mee Siam, on the other hand was a big bowl. However, ingredients were lacking. No doubt that the portion of Bee Hoon was generously given, it only have a hard boiled egg and miserable tau pok. The Mee siam gravy was rather spicy with a strong soury taste continue reading
