Blisshouse has always been a familiar name for extravagant event hosting, known for its gorgeous backdrops and white trellis interior. I've always been curious about what cuisine they serve in this gorgeous house, so when I saw Blisshouse listed on The Entertainer, I was thrilled to try their menu out at 2-for-1 prices. You can check out their full menu here... not that they only serves pasta, but occasionally when that craving hits, I just got to have it. The best part? I totally don't regret it. Either I was really hungry, or their Mushroom Alfredo Tagliatelle (SGD20) has got to be among the best I've had. I've no idea how they made it, but the proportion of everything was just perfect with the al dente pasta. The Soft Shell Crab Arrabiata Linguine (SGD23.4) on the other hand, was also savoury, tangy and really appetizing... the soft shell crab requires some effort to unravel, but in fact it was quite fresh so it slips out of its shell easily. All in all, at least these two dishes were quite stellar. I wished I had greater appetite to enjoy its other mains and desserts but that'll be left for next time. continue reading

Full reviews at http://www.celestialdelish.com/2014/02/blisshouse-singapore.htmlLove the whimsical place offering fun, romantic and beautiful garden theme. Bliss's Passion Fruit Oreo Bless, Bliss's Yogurt Mango Perfume, Bliss's Mint Chocolate Oreo Bless @ $12.00 eachPassion Fruit Oreo is my favourite among the three.. Perfume with sweet passion and a tad of chocolate to linger on the palate. Mischievously awesome! The drinks are not too sweet, rich and well balance.Nachos @ $10.00Smoked Chicken, Salsa, Aioli, Jalapeno Chilli, Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese on Crispy Corn Chips baked to perfection. Surprisingly the sourness and spiciness from the green chilli married the salty cheddar cheese well. Pan-Seared Marinated Scallops And Prawns @ $22.00Fresh juicy scallops and prawns marinated with Lime, Garlic, Dill and Olive Oil. Pan-seared to perfection served with light Carrot and Cucumber slaw. Delicious!Orange Duck Confit @ $28.00Duck Leg bone is sous vide with Orange and Thyme served with Roasted Potatoes and Ratatouille with Orange Sauce was succulent and good. Very appetizing.Tomato Pesto Oven Baked Black Cod Fish @ $38.00Oven Baked Cod Fish coated with Sundried Tomato Pesto on White Mornay Sauce, served with Roasted New Potatoes, Baby Asparagus topped with light Carrot and Cucumber slaw. The cod fish was extremely moist, juicy and tender. A light and simple dish that will makes you crave for more.Bacon & Eggs Crème Brulee @ $9.00Bacon Infused cream made into a velvetie custard slow baked to perfection topped with caramel crust is savory, not too sweet and pretty good. However, the bacon is too mild to be noticeable. continue reading

My cousin is back from Melbourne and so i arranged dinner at Blisshouse which i've been wanting to go! I went on a Wednesday night and it's Ladies night at Blisshouse and they gave free flow Somersby apple cider. This alone was pretty awesome cause i wanted to try Somersby and this was a good chance plus free flow somemore =) But too bad it's not available anymore! For the food, we shared the Beer Battered Mushrooms $10 and each of us opt for a paste dish - Linguine Vongole $20 and Angel Capellini Prawns $22. Beer Battered Mushrooms - This was the first to arrive and we got to enjoy this while it's hot. The thickness of the batter was acceptable and mushrooms was really nice and juicy. With the accompanying dip, this was rather enjoyable.Linguine Vongole - I had this and i find the presentation nice when they served it to me. The clams is fresh! Just nice portion for ladies in my opinion. Texture was good for the pasta too! Angel Capellini Prawns - My cousin had this and it's quite a refreshing change from the usual classic pasta choice. I hardly opt for this choice and initial taste feels a bit like mee sua. Hehe! A nice simple and delicious combination with the prawns and sun-dried tomato. Can't go too wrong dish =)Overall food is decent and quite enjoyable with everything being freshly prepared and together with the good service, it was quite a enjoyable dining experience! And the whole place is great for photo-taking which one of the staff was very nice and helpful with bringing us around and helping with taking photos for us. Very much appreciated and i will definitely be back! continue reading

Looking for a simple date out, I head out to visit one Singapore’s romantic dining locations with my partner in food crime, Vincent. It has hard not to understand the allure of Bliss House Theme Restaurant. Romantic flower settings that seem to pop out of a fairy tale book, with lush green carpet grass underneath our feet, whats not to love?SOUP OF THE DAY – TOMATO SOUPSGD 6CARBONARASGD 18MUSHROOM ALFREDOSGD 18***VERDICTThe dishes here are simple food, nothing spectacular and bordering on the ordinary. I didnt dislike anything, but there is nothing which makes me want to head back again to this pretty little place unless I want to have a pretty lunch to enjoy a meal with my girly girl friends. It is still a nice place which you can consider heading once on a date night, or for the upcoming Valentine’s Day which you can check out their menu here. Do remember to make a reservation!Read more reviews @ RoundTumTums.com continue reading

My very first time at blisshouse and it was a wonderful experience. I went there to celebrate my friend's birthday and the ambient was so nice. The pictures were salmon at $26 and $19 which my friend ordered (before gst). The food didn't really taste very good, but it was acceptable. The salmon was not fully cooked so I requested to send back to the kitchen and cooked further as i do not like raw food. There is also a booth with some props that we are allow to used to take pictures with. The staff there are all very polite and nice. I was really a very good experience there and will finally visit them again. continue reading
