Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak

Heard a lot of positive reviews about their good and affordable nasi lemak, so I decided to settle lunch here. There was a queue when I arrived during lunch time- the queue almost stretched outside of the hawker centre but thankfully the queue moved really fast. It didn't take long before it was my turn. I ordered fried chicken wing, long beans and fried egg. The rice was really nice, fluffy and definitely had a strong aromatic coconut milk taste, which I liked. It went really well with the chili paste- you taste the sweet flavour of the chili before the spiciness takes over. I also really liked how well marinated and flavourful the chicken is. The outer part is fried to a nice crispy golden brown, while the insides are juicy and tender!

went to dine with my parents and boyfriend. as my mum is a chilli lover, so bring her to try this. my all time favorite nasi lemak, cheap and super nice! but the bad point is that it is too far from where i am staying. if not im sure gonna eat and eat! for 4 plates it cost around 15plus ( cant remember the exact price) the chilli there was super power and nice match with the rice.

Looking for supper at vicinity of boon lay, Head to Nasi Lemak for yummy free flow servings of steamed coconut rice with fried chicken wings, kuning fish, eggs, ikan bilis and sambal at only $4.

What makes me say wow was the queue of the place. It stands out among the other shops. Looks rustic and washout which look appealing to me. I felt that the environment as rather a mismatch as compared to the appeal. Nevertheless we were here for the food since I was trying to come here to try their food for ages.

The chicken wings was pretty good however the chicken was not marinated properly and the meat inside was really tasteless.

This is a must grab for all food lovers when u patronise this stall.

Try the Punngol, Chong Pang Nasi Lemak so this time I make it a try on Boon Lay Nasi Lemak, is the same concept which you need to chose the dish.
The Chicken wing very crispy when you bite it, the rice smell nice + taste good but then the chili sauce is not so spicy...If you try the punngol, chong pang nasi lemak why not take it a try on Boon Lay Nasi Lemak, never regret, worth it...

If you go to Boon Lay Place Food Village, one thing that you can never miss is the long snake queue at a corner shop which is power nasi lemak unless the shop is closed for that day. Ordered 3 items on my plate of nasi lemak. This is the best time to order fish fillet with the soft rice and fragrance from the lemak. The taste of the chilli is really power!!!Chicken wing is always placed in my plate of nasi lemak, for me besides the coconut rice in nasi lemak, i felt that the nasi lemak will be incomplete without the deep fried wings! Juicy and tender! What's more its hot! Just be careful when you rib them off using your bare hands!Golden deep fried bagedil is one of my favourite item to order from the stall. The potato is big and soft with a great aroma.Service
Service is fast and good at least the waiting time not that long.

Well known for their Nasi Lemak even during my NS time, this stall have been standing firm with all loyal customer queuing up for their Nasi Lemak.

But do note that this is not a high class restaurant but a hawker center so do not have too much high expectation for the very clean tables. You will have to find a seat over there as there will mostly be a lot of people trying to find tables and seat to have dinner over there too.

Even though there are many people queuing up to get their fix for Nasi Lemak, the stall holders are quite friendly with the customer and quite fast in packing the food so the queue will move faster.

In terms of food wise, they provide main dish of Nasi Lemak (Which they give big portion if you are taking away) but my comment is that the Nasi Lemak rice from them is not the best but still not as bad to eat.

For side dishes, they provide a lot of food to choose from:Basically, their chicken wings ($1.20 per piece) are the most famous and popular dish as everyone seems to purchase at least one and they are always cooking those chicken wings so people are always able to get freshly cooked fried chicken wings.

Not sure how they prepared the chicken wings but for some reason, these chicken wings are very crispy even when they are cooled down and the taste is still as nice (Ofcourse eat when it is hot is the best).Another dish which you might wish to try is their Otak. It is not over cooked and the taste is nice with some bits of fish meat in it. A nice dish to have with Nasi Lemak.

One of the best nasi lemak store that i have eaten from. Very value for money although have to queue for quite long time as there will be always people queuing to buy the nasi lemak rice but it is worth queuing for. I love the crispy chicken wings and the fragrant of the rice that is been sold. The eggs and the otah is also very nice and yummy. Lots of variety of dish to choose from and the amount of rice given was very reasonable .

There was a long queue but we didnt have to wait too long for our turn as they were really efficient. There were a lot of dishes to choose from, the usual chicken wing and fried egg and less common fried potato and mutton curry. I love the warm and fragrant rice and the fresh and crispy chicken wing. Price is also reasonable. Will definitely come back for it again

We had crispy chicken wings, fragrant rice, tasty burgerdale ( Fried potato patty) The sambal chilli was really good. Really makes a sinful and yet very satisfying meal. Worth a try. PNL's queue never ends with the constant flow of customers which means that the food is always freshly prepared! Plus, despite being so busy, the people at PNL always appear energetic, smiley, with a ready-to-serve attitude.

The Nasi leak here not only taste good and is also very value for money. The chicken here is very crispy and the chicken meat in it is really tender and juicy. The coconut rice is very fragrant. Like their potato fritter which is really and smooth in texture inside and crispy on the outer surface. The sambal chilli with Ikan bills is also spicy and delicious which really suit well to eat with the Nasi lemak. To have a more side dish meal, you can also add in their egg omelette, hotdogs, fish cakes and meat rolls as well.

I went for morning breakfast today at 9am. I ordered nasi lemak. After a few bites, i felt that the chili was too sweet for me. The rice portion is smaller compared to many food courts in singapore.The chicken wing taste good, very crispy and tender. The rice is very fragrant and taste very good. I would suggest to the cook, to cut down its coconut milk and MSG as I felt it was abit too much for the rice.

Its good to vist this shop one in a while, but dining there every time is not a good idea, due to heath reasons.

After a very good game of badminton, All my cousins were thinking why not go for supper. And we were craving for something spicy. So boon lay nasi lemak it is. The best part about this place is they served it Hot. As though it was just cooked. And the food is extremely tasty too. Especially the sambal. It is not really spicy or sweet. It's just nice. and the generous amount of sambal the give. Their service is also good. They served people quickly. It was one of the Best Supper i ever had

Although this stall is famous for their Nasi Lemak, but I have chosen to try their Mee Goreng.
Presentation was acceptable, mee goreng was well cooked, has a mild spicy flavour that covers the noodle. Beansprout was also included but was too little, can be given more. Egg was also well cooked, not fried. Lastly their chili goes well with the noodles, sweet and spicy taste. Overall an simple and nice mee goreng at a reasonable price. Would recommend them to add some vegetables in it.

Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak is indeed POWER! I have heard so much of it from my friends. Went to try it out, and wow, it was really THAT good! The rice itself is very flavourful. The aroma of the coconut and pandan leave just made the rice taste very good. Their chicken, egg, otah is good too! All for a very reasonable price. Wow, im actually craving for it now!

my hubby drove me and my daughter to boon lay for some supper. of course when you go there, you must order their nasi lemak. it indeed gave us "power". the nasi lemak rice was so fragrant, not oily. it was quite light. their chicken wing was fried till very crispy, i like the batter that coated the wings, it was so fragrant. not so oily. their ikan bilis is not so salty, yet so crispy. their sambal chilli is so sweet, not very spicy. just to my liking. the otah is very smooth, not too spicy as well. goes really nice with the rice as well.
