Brownies and Dark Rye Bread Sticks
Smile 2012-10-25

Brownie with a nice wrapper~ once you unwrap it, it's a wow! Yummy Brownies at $1.80 per piece!

Once the brownie is unwrapped, using a fork, you can simply whip up the chocolate. Rich melting chocolate on a soft moist textured brownie, ...^0^it's simply delicious!

Dark Rye Assorted Nuts Bread Sticks wrapped in a novelty manner, looking like a bundle of wood sticks. $4.10 per bundle.

Dark Rye Bread Sticks with assorted nuts like hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts. There is a little note displayed at the shop stating that Dark Rye dough is low in fat, rich in fibre, protein and iron. It is nice eaten on its own or topping it with some butter or jam.

Bread Society - A bread and pastry place with lots of choices at reasonable prices. There are many kinds of bread there too.

Look at the assortment of tempting pastries with fruit toppings! A variety of Danish pastries topped with mangoes, kiwi fruits, berries and peaches. For this section , the Danish pastries are prices at $2.20 to $2.80 range.

Simply irresitable treats! Would like to try all their pastries~~^0^/~

nice pastries
Just OK 2012-09-20
the pastries here are generally nice. however, their cinnamon bun is not as good as st. cinnamon's. the cinnamon bun here is harder and more tough. there's lots of sugar topping, which makes it overly sweet. the cinnamon is not fragrant either. still waiting to find a cinnamon bun in singapore that is soft and with cinnamon sugar on top! this is obviously not the traditional cinnamon bun but just a simple, plain cinnamon dusted pastry. about $2

nice breads and pastries
Smile 2012-08-23
Another lovely bakery. The shop size is really annoyingly small and there's always a hughe squeeze and elbowing going on when you go to this shop. However, their breads are lovely, fresh and very well made. The pastries are well balanced and not too sweet. Their breads/pastries are Japanese fusion mix concoctions. The soft pretzel is a good size but it was not salted enough. It's better than the Swiss Bake one!

Strawberry Brioche
Just OK 2012-07-31

I was told the Bread Society is under the BreadTalk Group only recently. I frequent a few times but one of the usual favourite has to be the Strawberry Brioche. It does like a piece of dessert but it did not taste like it. It has got a bread texture with a thin layer of custard on top then garnished with berries. It has got a good mix of sweet and sour taste. This is the unusual bread but at a higher price. I would not suggest to keep it refrigerated for too long as its taste and quality would be compromised. The best is to eat it there and then when it is still tasted fresh.

Cheese bun
Smile 2012-07-30
Those who is really fond of having cheesy things will surely be delighted about this cheese bun from Bread society. The bun texture is really fluffy and soft and the outer layer is baked tilled really nice golden brown colour and is fragrant as well. The secret ingredient is the generous amount of quality shredded cheese topped on it which make it very fragrant and tasty. The price is reasonable and the service here is prompt and friendly as well.

bread
Just OK 2012-07-17

Bread society's bread always looks very delicious.
But they are quite expensive.
This time,i cant control and bought it.
It really taste nice as what it looks.
The cheese matches well with the bread as the bread is very soft too.
The chicken floss also added the tastiness to the bread.
This is really tasty and im believe that other bread from this outlet also will be very nice too.

Interesting bread
Just OK 2012-06-14
If you love berries then you would love this. It is a little expensive to pay $2.80 for such a slice. It was topped with different types of berries and these berries tasted a little sour. The texture of the base texted just like bread. It tasted interesting as this is something quite different and you do not get it elsewhere. I liked it but not enough to try it again.

nice cinnamon bun
Smile 2012-04-25 (Related Review)
this cinnamon bun is nice but i still miss saint cinnamon, which was the absolute best cinnamon buns. this one is a bit hard and crusty. the icing sugar is nice. but it's not cinnamony enough. not cheap either. the shop is very small and always crowded with someone's elbow or arm in your face as they reach for their buns. service is fast but it doesn't help. like the variety of breads here. it's unique and not just a copy of bread talk. lots of european type breads.

nice variety of fresh breads
Smile 2012-04-22
was quite impressed with the quality of breads here. the variety is good too. not another breadtalk copycat, this is more original with their own types of breads. the shop is very tiny so it is very annoying when there's everyone pushing you around and elbows everywhere and people taking very long to decide on what to buy. the cashier is very fast. the pretzel is actually very good. quite authentic. not too expensive either. would prefer the swiss or german pretzel but this one is pretty close. similar to swissbake... recommended

Super long pretzel dog
Smile 2012-02-29
I visited Bread Society quite a while ago, and since I wanted to try something different, I chose their pretzel dog, which measures up to about 45cm long! It was super unique, as I have not seen any Singaporean bakery cook up something that long lol I bought it home, and shared it with my sister, and it was really filling. The hot dog that they used was actually spicy, and it's the kind of spice that burns in your throat, so I wouldn't recommend this for kids, they'll get the shock of their life XD The dough that covered the pretzel dog however, was light and fluffy, and the sesame seeds on top made it more fragrant smile

Pretzels and breads
Just OK 2011-12-30
I like Bread Society, as it features all sorts of exotic breads, and this time, I decided to try their pretzel, as it was something new, and might be something i would like. However, when I took a bite out of it, I was immediately greeted with how salty the crust was, to the point it was a tad unbearable. Ironically, the dough on the inside was really soft and fluffy, which made up for the salty crust. Well, maybe it's just my preference that i don't appreciate their version of salty of pretzels, but I shall just stick to other breads in their store smile

Summer Berries Brioche
Smile 2011-12-27
I decided to give in to the temptation when i happened to pop by the Bread Society other day. Summer Berries Brioche was amongst few others on display. I was tempted just by looking and decided to get it for $2.80.

Summer Berries Brioche was made using the freshest blueberries and cranberries. I expected the base to have a certain crunchiness like those of the tart but it was a soft, light-textured bread, a little like the texture of a pizza crust. The rich buttery taste of the brioche enhanced the sourish taste of the summer berries to give it a nice balance.

It was something different and i enjoyed it pretty much.

nice bakery
Smile 2011-12-09
Nice overcrowded bakery in ION. One of those annoying places that bann photo taking. Anyway, they have great X'mas breads on sale at the moment. Italian inspired breads. They have a lot of different styles of bread from local to Japanese to French to Italian and German. The pretzel is nice but not as nice as Werner's and much smaller. It cost about $1.30 and has a strong ammonia salty taste and is quite tough to chew. The fruit tarts and fruit danishes are wonderful and very nicely presented although rather pricey. Nice fresh breads and buns and tarts. Very crowded little store.

Pastries w ordinary names but extraordinary taste
Smile 2011-07-10
The wonderful smell of pastries drifted out from the shop prompted me to take a look inside to find out what kind of pastries they are selling.

Firstly, I noticed that their pastries do not have fanciful names and are straightforward to let the consumers knows what the flavours are. I picked their Chocolate Melon Brioche which has a label that says "Must Try" and a wild mushroom bread.

Great Chocolate Melon Brioche & Wild Mushroom

After walking one round, another pastry caught my eyes. It's called the Strawberry Cream Cheese. The cube shaped bread with powder sugar of a crown gives me the royalty feel.

Ended up I bought a try of four different pastries.

I love their Chocolate Melon Brioche very much. It's very special as the crust is sweet and flaky. it's neither too dry nor too hard. The texture and feel is just right. No wonder it's a Must Try item.
