Signature Dishes
There was a promotion for Safra member at Breadtalk. Selected buns were sold at 50 cents.I had bought this bun called Smart Alec. The bun was very long, about 30cm in length. The top layer was crispy with taste of sugar crisp. The sugar icing also add to the sweetness of the bun. The middle of the bun was soft like loaf bread.The cream filling was actually custard paste. The custard was creamy and sweet with slight buttery. Overall this bun was quite worth given the size and price.

If you are a fan of the adorable feline character, you will definitely love the Hello Kitty-themed doughnuts, buns, cupcakes and cakes.To complete the experience, these pastries are packed in beautiful Hello Kitty cake boxes and packaging.For cake slices (S$4.20 / slice), you can go for Kitty in Pink, comprising a tiramisu cake bearing the cute Hello Kitty face.The Hello Kitty-shaped doughnuts (S$1.50 each) are covered in dark or white chocolate sauce, then finished with a dusting of rainbow sprinkles. BreadTalk was rather "empty" this morning without much customers. There wasnt alot of varieties to choose from unlike the usual days. Left with no other choices, I thought I should bite on something new from the shelves. I took the tray and immediately grab the Otah Oleh using the thongs and headed to the cashier counter. While I was queuing, I took a look at the price tag again, to my horror it costs S$1.90. Since there was not much time for me to seek for other breakfast alternatives, I had to proceed with the purchase.The little otah bun looks appetizing especially from its presentation. Comes with the otah leaves as the base, top of the bun was covered with blister looking cheese. 2 thick otahs was sandwich in the buns tastes quite normal. Overall, it tastes good but I still think that price is steep.

Breadtalk has a bun that I really enjoy. The moshi mushroom bun is like a cross between a pastry and a bun having puff pastry over a soft bun filled with savory chicken and mushroom filling. The filling is mainly shredded chicken with chunks of juicy mushrooms. The bun is fluffy and freshly baked and the crunch of the puff pastry on top adds extra texture and makes it really fun to eat. A great breakfast or tea time treat!
