Brotzeil offers German beer which almost every table was having.

Chic and contemporary setting.

Had to give German beer a miss cos' hubby need to drive.
He insisted on ordering this Apple Spritzer @S$8.50.

Schweinshaxn (Pork Knuckle) S$36.00

The enormous pork knuckle came with generous serve of yummy potato salad, greens and a dip sauce.
Good for 2 person, unless you have a boundless appetite.

The pork knuckle was as crunchy as it looked. Each bite was accompanied with crunchy noises lolxx... The meat was surprisingly juicy, won't consider it very tender but it's chewy without being tough. It's very much like our chinese roast pork belly, very sinful indeed. But we aren't saints, we aren't super models, so we are allowed to sin and eat, YES!!!

This is totally worth it and the price is reasonable too.

Napkin Dumplings S$5.00

It's a mistake to order this as the Pork Knuckle was already more than enough for the 2 of us.

It tasted like nothing but flour, so we didn't finish it.

Overall, it's a nice dine and wine place without ripping you off, happy.

^Absolutely Good Quality German Food^18/03/2013

My first time dining at Brotzeit, the restaurant was considered huge; it appeared clean and neat when observing from outside. Both tables and seats were arranged properly, the atmosphere was cozy inside.

   Honey Pork Ribs

Personally, I like the ribs very much. Tender and flavorful pork ribs which was just nice, not too sweet, and the pork was obviously fresh. The food was served in hygiene manner.

   Potatoes Wedges

Crispy potatoes when it was served. The portion was generous, we were satisfied after eating.

   Russ'n Beer

One of the German Speciality called Russ’n, a mixed beer, which tasted fruitier. The service staff put down the glass carefully and wished us ‘’prost’’, means "enjoy your drinks".

Although the price of the food is slightly higher, but we enjoyed our time here. Cheers!

Meaty feast
Smile 2013-01-02
Brotzeit is quite a popular German restaurant here in Singapore. They serve good beer and authentic German food. Pork knuckle (while stock last) is usually the must-have when you dine in here. I have tried a couple of times, the crispy hind shank of pork knuckle is yummy. The meat is quite juicy this time (I have had a very dry one previously), the crispy pork skin is just lovely. It is served with potato salad, sauerkraut and homemade sauce on the side, you can always request for more sauce if you like it more saucy!

Seafood salad is the mixed salad with smoked salmon, seared tuna, prawns, and greens such as semi-dried tomatoes, olives, grilled zucchini, orange wedges and sour cream, finall tossed with homemade dressing. The colour is gorgeous, and tastes refreshing, especially during such a meaty meal.

Brotzeit spinach pizza, is topped with lots of cheese (including mozzarella cheese and feta cheese). The pizza base is spread with tomato sauce, ingredients such as baby spinach, vine riped tomatoes, onions, garlic and mushrooms. It tastes quite nice, but it would be better if the base crust is thinner.

Sausage platter (for 2 pax), contains many kind of authentic sausages, namely spicy chicken sausages, Nurnberger sausages, pork cheese sausages, Weisswurst and garlic pork sausages. My favourite is the spicy chicken sausage, the spices used is very flavourful, spice up my appetite.

Cheese spatzle is basically macaroni cooked with assorted melted cheeses and served with crispy fried onions. Very cheesy! Remember to finish it before it tunrs cold. It is so creamy and comforting when eat it hot.

Definately the Pork knucles
Smile 2012-12-27
One of the must try dishes and its my favourite. The outer layer is extremely crispy, deep-fried but surprisingly the meat is not dry, they have side dishes that serve together, one of it is the sour cabbage, quite an acquired taste for me but can help to boost my appetite, overall it's hearty but not too heavy. However please take note, you may need a few people to finish this.

One of the best pork knuckes I’ve ever tried in Sg
Smile 2012-12-18
Went to Brotzeit to try their German beers and authentic Bavarian cuisine.
The environment is pretty warm and cosy (wooden tables and benches) yet chic.
Wanted to have the outdoor tables, but it was too hot at the time we went!
It was lunch. So we settled for indoor.
The place has one of the best pork knuckes in Singapore!

Went to had dinner with friends at Brotzeit German Bier Bar and Restaurent.

There were a long queue as that day was Sarturday night.

We had ordered the chicken wings and so on. The chicken wings had a very crispy and cruncy outer skin. Love it!!! The chicken wings were well marinated also and the texture were tender. Highly recommended this dish.

Will difinitely visit this shop again.

German Sausages
Smile 2012-07-30
Had a very large group of gathering with our ex-classmates in this German food restaurant and was really happy to be warmly welcomed by the staffs here. Their service is prompt and the foods here are quite delicious. One of our favourite orders will be their chicken and pork german sausages. Both versions are really tender and juicy, and really nice to eat it on its own or to dip in their special made sauce as well. The portion are quite generous and we had a very satisfying dinner on that evening.

Fish Cutlet
Smile 2012-07-25
This German Restaurant may have one of the best deep fried fish cutlet in town. The fish meat are very fresh and soft and the bread crumbs used for this fish cutlets are very tasty and make the outer layer very crispy and also not overly salted. Squeeze some lemon juice on it will definitely enhance the taste of the fish and make it more fragrant too. The service here is very prompt and friendly, which make my visit a very pleasant one.

Pork knuckles
Just OK 2012-07-21
Went to Brotzeit to try out their famous pork knuckles which was recommended by my friend. It was my first time trying German food. The cost for this dish was quite expensive but who cares, i am here to try it out anyway. Asked the waiter is the pork knuckles portion for 1 or 2 person and was told by them it was for 1 person and when the dish came, i was like OMG.. it so damn huge. 1st look was like a chao ta piece of rock. I slowly cut it open and had my 1st bite and the skin was as hard as a rock but it was crispy. It just taste like roasted pork with thick layers of fats inbetween. The inner meat which near to the bone was actually soft and nice. Overall i couldnt finish the whole pork knunckles. It best to share this piece of pork knuckle instead of solo .

Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant
Smile 2012-06-30

Had a nice Saturday dinner at Brotzeit smile .. The staff seated us quite promptly, and were very efficient. We had the schweinshaxe ($36). It comes in a big portion perfect for sharing. The pork knuckle was really crispy drenched in a savory brown sauce and it is served with potato salad, pickles and sauerkraut. We also ordered different kinds of sausages. Pretty delicious! Also, we had salad to balance out the sinful meal. Overall, it is really nice and worthy! Definitely a great place to hang out, have good, hearty food and guzzle a beer or 2!

DEFINITELY German!!

Brackwurst sausage pork knuckles amazingly good!

Last August i went to germany and after coming back to Singapore i greatly missed their meat.. their special brackwurst (not sure how to spell) sausage, the pork knuckles.. everything deep-fried!

And also definitely their beer too. German beers are the kind where once you drink it, you REMEMBER the taste and smell forever.

i'm quite surprised to find one exactly like that in Singapore too! Okay maybe a little bit different because the fries over here are oily and.. taste like local fries.

anyway you gotta try the sausages ! go with a family or a group of friends, germans eat a lot, so one portion of the food is equivalent to maybe two-three of us? yeah.. got all the sauces for you to mix with, the sauces not so authentic, yet the sausages won't disappoint you.

anyway, their pork knuckle is almost OOS everytime so.. do call them up before you sit down, they have friendly service! we didn't try anything else but just this and it's enough to keep us full.

i went with 3 friends!

Lovely German food
Smile 2012-03-11
We were roaming around Vivo city mall looking for dining options, after looking around,we decided on dining at Brotzeit. Its a lovely German Bar & restaurant, that serves a variety of sausages, pork knuckles & a variety of Beers. The ambience is great. we sat outdoors. We ordered for a couple of beers, some wine, sausage platter, fried platter & buttered spatzle and ended our lovely meal with shots of jagermeister. Loved the sausages served with Sauerkraut (cabbage). The fried platter was good as well, it had wedges, tiger prawns & fish fillets. The buttered spatzle was just ok,it was too bland. We enjoyed the jagermeister shots. Had a lovely evening.

Smile 2011-12-15

I'm not surprised to find this place to be packed with people during weekends. The alfresco was rather rowdy and it's only slight better upstairs. My agenda here was for the beer of cause!
Pretty affordable beer over here. Had a munich lager and it didnt disappoint me.

Food here was a typical pub price range but I guess. ordered the ultimate meat dish (cant rmb the actual name) but it has the best combi of meat ever. one giant pork knuckle fried to juicy crispy perfection, 4 thick german sausages, and finally 2 large slabs of fried meat the side. it was the ultimate treat for any carnivore. the meat were all grilled/fried to perfection. crispy and yet still juicy and moist. would come back here for more next time.

Is recommended by my friend
as im a fan of pork knuckle,he bring me here to try
Their pork knuckle was great
It's very tender, drenched in a clear gravy which tends to make the crackling a bit soggy, Brotzeit serves the gravy separately, which allows for the crackling to be enjoyed in all its crispy glory
Instead of roast potatoes, it came with a rather interesting cold potato salad
which is very refreshing
We also tried their liver pate with German bread,it tasted good too but bread was a bit too dry & hard
Overall i rate 8/10
