Braised ducks and eggs
Smile 2012-08-21

Eventhough this stall may be hiding at one corner of this food village, but you will be really contented on how delicious the foods served from this stall. The duck meat is very tender and juicy and the braised sauce is thick and really fragrant as well. Infact, even the normal hard boiled braised eggs are equally delicious too. You will never feel of having enough of it and great to have it with the plain rice and porridge too.

duck rice
Smile 2012-06-13

Went cycling at east coast park and decided to have dinner at the east coast lagoon!
Ate the duck rice shared among 3 people and it was pretty good! Heard that their duck porridge is even more awesome but they did not have anymore when i was there. However, i think they should give more duck meat and not duck skin sad Hate duck skin!
But overall its quite nice. Will go back for the porridge. tongue

duck porridge
Smile 2012-03-31

The duck porridge here is pretty good. The sauce for the porridge makes it rather tasty. Luckily it is not overly salty like what some other stalls are like. The duck comes in little chunks inside the porridge. The duck meat isn't spectacular, perhaps it's little pieces instead of a nicely chopped section of the duck. I would say that the porridge itself is laudable as it is cooked until the rice is very soft.

Famous Duck Rice.
Smile 2011-12-23

This was my first time at the famous East Coast Lagoon Food Village. As a foodie, i have gotten many recommendations of good foods right at this place and this duck rice is one of them.

I was there at about 2pm but there were still quite a few people right in front of this stall waiting to order. I decided to join in and waited for about 10 minutes to be served. I ordered a plate of duck rice with a braised egg added for $3.50.

My partner started eating first. He told me that this probably is one of the better duck rice he ever eaten. I have got to agree when i had my first mouthful. I requested for extra braising sauce to be poured over the rice to give it a moist texture. The few pieces of duck meat served were chopped in rather small pieces. It would definitely be better if it is in a slightly bigger pieces. Though it tasted a little dry but still rather flavorful. I enjoyed the braised egg pretty much too.

It was a satisfying lunch.

   Famous duck rice.

Duck Rice
Smile 2010-11-21

Roast duck rice has always been my favourite. As for this stall....

The rice were aromatic and the grains felt soft and smooth. The sauce were just right, without being too salty.

Price is cheap - around $4 for a plate.

If you are lucky, you won't have to queue on certain days as there is not much crowd.

Overall, the food is alright.
