Food trucks are a common sight in western countries where by a vehicle is much cheaper than owning or renting a shop. Especially for fast food or snacks and drinks that require minimum preparation. So I found it very interesting when I started to see a few food trucks in Singapore and as we all know we have ridiculous prices on any vehicle on wheels in our country so it's always got me wondering on how they survive. Nonetheless, coffee bandits appeared along my office stretch this month at fusionopolis, one north mrt about 3 times! There's tons of office people walking to their offices from the mrt station. The hilarious part is, it's parked like 5 meters opposite the Starbucks at fusionopolis 1! Anyways! Based on their menu, they have simple breakfast items. Things that intrigued me were their bacon cupcakes and I once saw a fellow Openrice post about their chendol espresso which apparently is only sold when they are parked at Gardens by the Bay! I was very sad. Nonetheless, I still gave them my support by getting a mint mocha.Mint Mocha $6It's quite a big cup but it is still pretty pricey! I was told by the friendly staff to stir it well before drinking as all the mint syrup was at the bottom.I could immediately smell the mint aroma upon stirring. The mocha was thick and you could taste both coffee and chocolate hints distinctively! Also! I realized the entire truck staff was made up for 4 females! all of which were very energetic and friendly!Overall : 1) Decent Drinks 2) convenience if it's parked right outside your office 3)I want to try their chendol espresso! continue reading
