My colleague was taking effort, driving to Hougang for a lunch. They said this Collin's outlet was much more nicer than the one near Braddell. I had been there many times, but for Hougang's, it was my first time. The udon was smooth and it was on par with most quality Japanese Restaurant. However, Curry wise, it was not as sweet as expected. In fact, it was almost similar to the Curry Yong Tau Foo at normal Foodcourt. continue reading

I was there tonight with my family and decided to have Collin's.Ordered Saba Bento $6 & coleslaw $2 and paid $10.Web I got back $1.10 for my change, I checked the receipt, the aunty who took my order keyed in Salmon Bento instead so we got it corrected.I went to collect my food when the beeper when off, and the same aunty asked me to take the salad first.I was initially impressed with the portion of salad (Saba Bento suppose to come with salad). Then when I collected my Saba Bento later, I asked for my coleslaw, she said I already took it. I told her that was salad & not coleslaw. Her answer was : that's how we make our coleslaw and she lok approvingly at the 2 cooks inside.Well, the Saba Bento had a portion of salad in it, would she call it coleslaw ? I wonder.Well, the verdict is, she is more suitable to work at a Chinese food outlet as she obviously does not know the difference between coleslaw and salad. My appetite was all spoiled, didn't finish my food continue reading

This stall just opened in the kopitiam downstairs my boyfriend's house, and there is such a WIDE range of dishes that I should give them a try.I tried to search the stall's name on the net before ordering anything.I could not find any info and I just decided to go for my favourite beef steak.Price: Less than $12I had it medium rare, the texture was just right and not too tangy,it was served with pepper sauce that tasted a bit too bland. There were also some aglio and coleslaw that were served along. If you do not prefer those its better to tell them beforehand as they were not chosen by me.The aglio was slightly spicy.Coleslaw was fresh and refreshing!A very unique experience for a new stall. Very impressive!Service was very good, environment was good as this stall is very well-renovated and furnished!! continue reading
