This evening, my family and I went to the airport to send some relatives off. We seldom come to Terminal 1, as most of the time our flights were in Terminal 3. Terminal 1 was the oldest and smallest of the three teriminals. It is now under renovation. Many areas were boxed up, there weren't many places we could sit and talk. We ended up standing around the checking-in area saying all the farewell 'speeches'.
After an hour, they still have yet to finish saying their 'goodbyes', but my knees were already aching and my daughter was hungry. So both of us roamed around for a place to rest and eat. We saw this Dome cafe at the left end (when you are facing the entrance to the transit lounge) of the Terminal.
My daughter was delighted to see the cookie and cream cheese cake and she wanted one. ($6.50 each.) I looked at the menu deciding on what coffee to order. Quite a selecton. They have cafe vienna, caramal cappuccino, latte etc.. In the end, I ordered a normal cappuccino. ($4.60 per cup.)
We were lucky to find two couches unoccupied. We quickly took it. It was so comfortable, especially after standing for an hour. The cappuccino was rich and fragrant. I added only a packet of sugar so it was not too sweet. The cake was not too cheesy, it has a thin layer of crust at the bottom. There was a slight orangish taste too. Very pleasant combination. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to enjoy our rest as our relatives were ready to proceed to the transit lounge.
Wished we had come earlier to the cafe.
