French twist
2012-03-27This is my first dining experience in Haji Lane. Although small in size, Le Bistro Parisien has its own sense of arts when it comes to interior design. The place is filled of heaps framed photos of Malay artists, very old school kind of photos. Nice.
The complimentary bread is not attractive though. It's a bit dry and not toasted at all.
However, the mains are very delicious! I had the Sautee de gross Crevettes ($25), where the fresh & large prawns are sauteed in the whole-grain Dijon mustard sauce. It's sinfully creamy but so good in taste! The dish is served with pasta, and greens.
Poulet Basquaise ($23) is very delicious too. The boneless chicken leg is sauteed and stewed in the basquaise sauce for long, until the meat is so tender and flavourful. It's very appetizing as compared to the creamy prawn dish.
Upon leaving, we realized that even the former Prime Minister Dato' Mahathir has been to this place. How cool hey!
