Honeymoon Dessert, more commonly known as 满记甜品, is the haven for dessert lovers! Honeymoon Dessert, more commonly known as 满记甜品, is the haven for dessert lovers! There is a huge range of desserts, both hot and cold ones for you to choose from, including the standard favourites like Black Glutinous Rice, Sesame Soup and Mango Sago. Most of them include mango, papaya, coconut or durian. My friends and I ordered a Almond Tea (warm), Green Tea Ice-Cream with Mango,Mango Pomelo Sago and the Baked Egg Tart Yam thing (Okay I don't remember the name but that's what it tastes like to me).

The Food
The desserts here are wonderful in terms of the richness and quality of the flavours in them. The Almond Tea looks like a sea of pure white paste, and looks rather plain ... but there's more to it than it meets the eye! For almond lovers (like me!), you will love it a lot. the almond texture and taste is thick and strong. It settles in your mouth and lingers as a sweet aftertaste too.

The Green Tea Ice-Cream with Mango is also another surprise. The green tea ice-cream leaves a deep impression because it has this non-artificial taste about it. The rest of it was... yummy but boring. It was the regular good dessert taste but not spectacular.

The Mango Pomelo Sago was probably kind of an adventurous venture because the mango bits were too sweet whil e the pomelo bits were too sour >_< The mango bits were also qu ite over-ripe. You had to eat the mango bits with the pomelo bits to 'even out' the taste. Otherwise you'll either be overwhelmed by its sweetness or its sourness. I felt that I didn't really like it a lot (but not that I dislike it) because there're too many exciting tastes in one dessert and I like it simpler.

The Baked Egg Tart Yam thing was the best! You should definitely try it. I don't remember what the exact name was, but there is the egg-tart texture and yam bits inside too! It's like a Kinder-Surprise when you dig into it, you never know what the taste will be like until you tried it. Although the portion is quite small, about 3-inch in diameter, it is quite filling because of the yam bits inside.

The Service
Nothing much to comment about, they were all very busy and did not offer personal attention... not that I require any, anyway.

The Ambience
The place is quite noisy, with many families and couples bonding over loud conversations.

The Price
I think it's more suitable for families to bond together at this place, so that they can buy a few desserts and share amongst themselves. It'll be affordable this way

Overall
It's a not-bad desserts place, but I won't be going back unless I'm a working adult with a higher salary because it is quite pricey. Spending per head is around S$6.
