As I had a craving for Beef Hor Fun, I decided to stop by Greenview Cafe for a quick dinner before heading back to office to do some overtime work. The cafe is located at a corner of Far East Plaza. It is a very plain and simple looking cafe with little decoration. Although the cafe has 2 outlets, but both outlets are small and can only accommodate a maximum of 7 tables each or lesser. The plate of Beef Hor Fun cost me $5 and my Coke soft drink cost $1.40. In total my dinner cost $6.40. Here's

The Beef Hor Fun was prepared well by the chef. It's a nice fusion of the guo tiao hor fun together with the Hor Fun gravy and the beef. Each tasted equally nice. The guo tiao hor fun has a distinct nice wok smell to it. The gravy tasted superb and wasn't that salty. Each slice of beef was evenly cooked and tasted great. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience eating the delicious Beef Hor Fun and I had a can of Coke to go along with.

What I don't really like is the vegetables. Some of it tasted slightly raw and I don't like to eat raw vegetables. Perhaps the chef didn't want to overcook the vegetables so that he can preserve the goodness that are found in the vegetables but personally I don't like the slightly raw taste. Also it will be better if they can give more guo tiao hor fun as I felt the portion was slightly little and not filling for my stomach.

I noticed that each table has separate container to contain the green chili, red chili, chili sauce. However all the 3 containers are left exposed to the surrounding and there were no cover on each container. I felt that it is not that hygienic to leave the chili exposed to the surrounding. I would suggest or recommend the cafe owners to place a cover on each of the container so that the chili won't be exposed to the surrounding air.

I would definitely return to Greenview Cafe to eat again. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 as mediocre and 10 as very yummy, I would give the overall dining experience as a rating of 8 and would highly recommend my friends to try out their food as it's delicious and the price is reasonable.
