You have to be careful of what you choose because it's really easy to choose too much and end up with a hefty bill.
The ingredients are categorized into vegetables, mushroom, meat & seafood & charged differently. What I really like about this stall is that they are very transparent, and weights each category you have chosen carefully in front of you & tells you the price separately before giving you a total price, unlike some of the others that I had tried before.This is really good service as they assure you that you are not being overcharged & you wouldnt get a shock when you see the bill.
I chose to top up $1.50 for the soup today & just mild spicy. The soup base is delicious and the spiciness is just right at mild spicy for me - I could even drink the soup! The ingredients were fresh & soaked up the Ma La flavour well. Total I paid $7.50 for my food, including the soup base & rice.. which I think is very worth because I had paid much more (abt $16) at other Ma La Hotpot stalls before. This time I only chose luncheon meat & vegetables though..
I highly recommend this stall for Ma La lovers!
