Skinny Pizza offers a good range of Western cuisine, ranging from their signature pizzas to their pastas as well as sides (which include corn on the cob, truffle fries etc), and it's great to share so you should definitely bring friends along for this place.

We ordered a Squid Ink Pizza ($25), a Ginger Butter Chicken Pizza ($23) and a portion of Truffle Fries ($7) to share. There is a good mix of both fusion and western pizzas so there is something to suit everyone.

The Squid Ink Pizza is one of their signatures and is definitely a must-try. The base is completely black, and it has a nice refined taste different from the normal flour crust. It is topped with wild rocket, squid, prawns and just a splash of balsamic vinegar for that added flavour. This pizza has a surprisingly light taste -the freshness of the seafood is evident because of the minimal seasoning. Highly recommended.

The truffle fries portion was a little small for $7, and while I am not a fan of shoestring fries, truffle oil lovers will fangirl over this. You can smell the truffle oil even before the fries are right under your nose. The wafting scent is pure heaven for any truffle fries fan. The fries are served hot (a bit oily though), and really crispy (more crispy than fluffy in fact). I would like my fries a bit more potatoey though.

The Ginger Butter Chicken had a distinctive aroma of Indian curry spices. There were chicken chunks as well as fresh greens topping this crust. While it was undeniably tasty, I was a bit torn over deciding if this chicken resembled 'butter chicken' more or 'curry chicken'. It did not seem the possess the intense spiciness and heat of curry, nor did it have a particularly rich buttery flavour to speak out. A pity!

If you do head down to Skinny Pizza, we recommend you go for the Squid Ink Pasta and the Truffle Fries. The Aglio Olio also has a generous serving of seafood, so if you're craving some pasta you may wish to consider this. They also serve iced water, which is constantly refilled by the attentive staff
