I chanced upon this Mr Bean cafe at United Square and was surprised to see that it has seats for dine in and sells main meals other than their usual pancake and soymilk at their outlets islandwide. I was particularly drawn to their Waffle with Snowy Soy dessert set because i was craving for waffle ice cream. There was a choice of chocolate, raspberry or maple syrup for your sauce and i chose the raspberry because i like fruity flavour.

The waffles was made upon order so I had to wait for about 5 minutes which i don't mind because fresh, hot waffle are the best. Costing only $4.80, i was surprised to see that the ice cream was of a substantial size and 2 pieces of belgium waffle was served. The dish was liberally drizzled with the raspberry sauce. Taking the characteristic of belgium waffle, they were much smaller in size compared to those waffle served at Gelare. The waffles was sweet, dense and doughy. The dairy-free soy ice cream has a strong soy taste and was not too sweet, which balance out the sweetness of the waffle and sauce. It was a very delicious, cooling and filling teatime treat.
