Went for high tea at Straits Café @ Rendezvous Hotel on 26 Sept 2010, Sunday. Started from 3 -5.30pm. Made use of Popular Magazine 1-for-1 offer coupon. Singapore Women's Weekly Nov or Dec issue sometimes has a dining coupon that has such offer also. Spread there is international - Japanese: fresh salmon sashimi, cold soba noodles, small selection of sushi; local - Award-winning Laksa which allows you to add how much sliced fishcake, prawns, sliced hard-boiled eggs, etc,; rojak, porridge, Bak Kut Teh, kueh, selection of dim sum; western - salad, smoked salmon, mussels, prawns, beef salad, scallops in shells, pastries, cakes, brownies, ice-cream bar & coffee via a coffee machine, etc. Desserts - most popular item is Straits Cafe Durian Fudge cake & Durian Pengat (like mousse/pudding).
