Decided to try the food at this stall serving Western Cuisines - pizzas and pasta at Jem Cookhouse. I wanted to try pizzas but i was worried the serving may be too much for me to finish by myself so i ordered the carbonara pasta. To facilitate waiting time, they have a disc which will light up when the food is ready.The total waiting time was around 10 minutes but it felt longer than that. The total waiting time was around 10 minutes but it felt longer than that. Anyway when i went to collect, i observed there is a tray of seasonings - pepper, salt, cheese and chilli flakes. I added cheese and chilli flakes but the latter not so much. Maybe the lid holes too small for the chilli flakes.
The Carbonara Pasta ($6.50) can be summed up in one word: tasteless. It is creamy but it just feels like i am eating cooked plain spaghetti. Even the ham didn't help much, though i am quite grateful for their presence. The pasta is cooked well but i just wished that the pasta sauce flavour was stronger.
