So, one of my favourite fast food chain has just released a new burger and potato snack! For a fast food outlet, this branch was quite nicely decorated and warmly lit which made it quite an inviting place to dine and chat in. For a fast food outlet, this branch was quite nicely decorated and warmly lit which made it quite an inviting place to dine and chat in. We went for a weekday dinner and the place was crowded, but the noise level was tolerable, which made it an ideal place to have a meal and chill with friends.

We placed our orders at the counter and we were lucky to be served by a bubbly staff who was friendly and upbeat despite the late hour and dinnertime crowd, although we had to wait quite a while for the food to be prepared and delivered to our table.

Red Grilled Chicken Set without Cheese ($7.70)
The Red Grilled Chicken Set without cheese costs $7.70 while the Red Grilled Chicken Set with cheese costs $8.00. The set comes with fries and a soft drink. If you get just the burger only, it will cost $4.00 without cheese and $4.30 with cheese. I got the set without cheese for myself. The grilled chicken was quite juicy while the red tomato sauce was tangy, but I didn't find the sauce to be sufficient enough for the meat so the burger ended up tasting a little bland. Don't hold me to my word, but I suspected that the burger with cheese might be slightly more flavourful. I supposed it was really my fault for omitting the cheese as I wanted a "healthier option" especially since this burger was supposed to come "without an abundance of calories" (so they say) but what the heck, nobody eats burgers to be healthy.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your appetite), Mos Burger's burgers tend to be smaller in portion compared to the burgers at American fast food outlets like McDonalds, so the portion of the burger was just nice for me, but people with a voracious appetite might find it a tad lacking in size and not very filling.

Prosperity Coin ($1.00)
The usual price was $1.50 but if you get this with the Red Grilled Chicken Set, then it cost only $1.00 for 3 pieces. This was basically hash brown in the shape of a small round coin. This tasted like what a normal hash brown tasted like. It was quite crispy on the outside and was also quite aromatic from the oil used to fry it.

Overall, I think the Red Grilled Chicken Burger would be quite decent especially if there was more red tomato sauce to go with the meat. But if you ask me, this wasn't something that I'd make a return trip to Mos Burger for. I personally still preferred their Chicken Burger or Tsukune Rice Burger. While we both agreed that the Prosperity Coin was nice, when it comes to Mos Burger however, I'd rather get their Potato Croquette instead. But, that's just me.

So, 3 stars for taste for the Red Grilled Chicken Burger, and 5 stars for the rest of my favourite food from Mos Burger as listed under "Recommended Dish(es)" below!
