We have just finished a movie and decide to have a coffee before going off. As it is quite late, we decide to have it at The House Of Robert Timms. Despite been a weekend, the place is not packed and we are sitted indoor, near the counter. It is great as it is air-con indoor. There is also outdoor dine in area but it is quite humid outside. Interestingly the cafe has a huge TV screen above the counter which is broadcasting a Premier League football match live. It is rare to find a place that show football match live and is not crowded and noisy. Great place to relax and enjoy the match. As it is late, the kitchen is closed and only small snacks, desserts and drinks are available.
Ice Chocolate ($7++)I am surprised when it is served as it looks like a glass of milk. I feel that it is not chocolate enough.
Chocolate Mint Frap ($8++)This drink on the other hand is too thick and rich. My partner needs glasses of iced water in order to finish it.
Flourless Coca Torte with Coffee Crumble ($10++)Flourless torte made with 64% coca and coffee crumble. Served with mixed berries compote.
This comes highly recommended by the staff who served us. Although it is quite rich but I could not taste any coffee taste in it. The berries compote is a bit too sour to match with the rich coca torte.
Overall the food is average but the place is quite relaxing.
