My friend introduced me to this Wanton Mee stall at Hong Lim Hawker Centre. This stall was located behind and away from the front view of the hawker centre, hence I had a hard time finding this stall. There was no much queue after Lunch hours. The Wanton Mee Kia had a heavy aroma of pork lard and savoury special sauce. The special sauce tasted like char siew sauce with hoi sin sauce. Their mee kia was unique, different from others, a bit thicker and springy like kolo mee. The Char Siew was very good, roasted on the outside with very sweet malty taste. The Char Siew meat was tender and fatty.
The wanton in the soup however was small and less meaty. The minced meat marinated was good in the wanton, I could taste the crushed dried fish in the wanton meat.
