A friend of mine is a regular patron of this place. She particularly likes this place because it’s convenient location. We would have meals in a period of time and she would choose this place for sure. The restaurant has changed name again as well as buffet theme. We went there on last Sunday for buffet dinner. I noted that they were having Turkish theme this time, it has ended on last Sunday. Frankly I didn’t see so many Turkish food serving, it could be out of my sight or I didn’t pay enough attention. Anyway, I tried to recall, there was one cold dish at the salad counter, kebab, meat kofta and Turkish ice cream.
Whenever or wherever I have buffet, I would still opt for my favourite food, sashimi, oyster, crab, prawns, durian pengat (if serving), if all these food are good, I would consider the buffet is a value for money meal. I hardly eat much on warm and savoury dishes, even though I eat, it could be a piece or two, will never more than that.
Let me list their food serve: juice, salad, sashimi, sushi, cold soba, chawanmushi, breads, cold seafoods, BBQ meats (satay) and otah, meat kofta, kebab, chilli crab, roasted chicken, steam fish, fried Hongkong noodle, roti-prata, laksa, variety of kimchi, kueh pie ti, Indian curry, teh tarik, fresh fruits, Turkish ice cream, variety of cakes and kuehs, durian pengat; quite a variety choices.
So far so good, the buffet didn’t really disappoint me, though there were one or two draws on that evening, seabass sashimi was good but the chief didn’t slice it properly, it always linked into a chain, you can’t have one or two pieces only! Teh tarik, if it can be hotter, it would be really good.
I have the durian pengat last month at Café 2000, M Hotel. Literally, I would compare these 2 for quality. This time Café 2000 won. Whereby, Asia Market was a bit too sweet, durian wasn’t fragrance enough and hardly could find bits of flesh, it was too gluey!
My friend has the membership card, so price is discounted to one for 2 patrons.
