One of the side dish that is sold over at Dao Xiao Mian inside the food court of Raffles City Shopping Centre. It is called the onion pancakes. The outer layer is crispy and you can taste a little bit of onion and it is not too oily and greasy. You can dip it inside your soup and eat it too! It taste good and would try their other side dish again. This plate is about $3+ and worth it! continue reading

i ordered the dao xiao mian from raffles city shopping centre food court. This is one of the nicer dao xiao mian I have eaten. I ordered their beef dao xiao mian and it cost me $6 which I found rather pricey. Nevertheless, it was really good, I say restaurant standard. The beef is really tender, it went so well with the mian. The soup is very tasty, I found it to be the highlight of the dish almost stealing the lime light of the dao xiao mian. they added black fugus into the dish, giving it a crunchy effect. For this price, you get good quality dao xiao mian, I say it is pretty worth it. continue reading

i decided to try the dao xiao mian at this stalls. Not many food court actually sells dao xiao mian so I was surprised to find a stall which sells one. They let you choose the meat you wanna add to your noodles. There fish, chicken and beef from which I selected the beef. The beef is really delicious, very big piece and there were actually quite a number of pieces. The soup is very tasty, you can taste the rich beef stock taste in the soup. the diao xiao mian is really good, very smooth and chewy. however I found it a little pricey, my bowl actually cost $6. But nevertheless it was pretty good. continue reading
