Spotted a dessert stall after lunch, I headed and placed my order without hesitation. Assorted desserts and extensive snacks sold at the stall, there were hot, cold or iced version. Freshly cooked daily, the desserts presented tempting and tasty.Growing up, it was still one of my favourite traditional desserts throughout the years. The rice turned into dark purple colour when it was cooked, a nice Pandan Leave aroma left behind. Boiled until soft and smooth, it did achieve my preferred chewy consistency. To sweeten the dessert, ladyboss told me that she used a mix of Gula Melaka and finally drizzled it with thin Coconut Milk. Commonly served warm, it was reasonably priced at 1.50. continue reading

The green bean is so abundant. Ok, it's called green bean soup. So! People who enjoy green bean will surely love this. The green bean is so oft yet not out of shape - you can still see the original shape of the green bean . The soup, I love it - it is not too sweet nor too bland. It does not taste diluted at all, too. It would be good if I can enjoyed it when it is still piping hot. continue reading

Brought a bowl of the mixed pulut hitam and the pulut terigu for dessert after lunch. Before stirring the dessert, I have managed to tried both of the dessert. The pulut hitam is well cooked, the black glutinous rice has a soft and chewy texture, has a nice aroma and has sufficient thickness. As for the pulut terigu, it has a nice, distinct and aromatic brown sugar taste. The wheat is sufficient cooked, has a soft and chewy texture as well. When stir together, it produces a totally different taste and it's quite nice. But after a few minutes, the dessert started to turn watery but the taste still remains the same. With the addition of the coconut milk, it further enhance the taste and aroma of the dessert. With a price of $1.40, it is quite reasonable and the quailty and taste of the dessert is good. continue reading
