Yay! Desserts. And only just for desserts. Apparently we missed out the last time.

The red ruby was a brilliant shade of red. Nicely translucent, it was coated with just the right amount of starch and the chestnut within was full of crunch.

The coconut milk was light and sweet.

This was a brilliant way to beat the heat of the afternoon.

And it made me miss Thailand. smile

rich hearty beef broth
Smile 2013-01-31

Now this was comfort food.

I'm glad he insisted that I tried this. The soup broth was hearty and rich.
The thin slices of beef were done just right. Chewy.

The beef balls? Bouncy. And full on flavour.

At $4 a bowl, you can definitely afford to have another bowl. The thin rice noodles were a hit with me but the serving was fairly small. You could ask for extra portion of noodles but if it were me, I'd just order another bowl altogether. With the works!

Pad Thai Salad!
Just OK 2012-07-30 (Related Review)

THis restaurant sells authentic thai food and offers a wide variety of thai food that caters to all thai food lovers! This pad thia salad is fresh and served with fresh slightly raw vegetables with noodles and seafood meat. The noodles are stirred fried well and not too salty while the salad thought slightly raw in its taste, is quite refreshing and blends well with the fried kway tiao noodle. Overall quite authentic thai flavour to it and worth a try! smile

Thai food!!
Smile 2012-07-25

Friend was craving for Thai food, so decided to bring him here since this is another shop that I will eat at in Golden Mile Complex.

As my usual, we ordered Stir Fried Baby Kailan, Tom Yum Soup, BBQ Pork, Char Yen and Mango with Glutinous Rice.:bow:chopsticchopstickk:l: We waited for about 20mins for the arrival of BBQ Pork as they only BBQ it upon ordering, therefore it was serve hot. lol

However, the Tom Yum soup is kinda salty unlike the normal Tom Yum soup which is suppose to be sour and spicy. Eventually, we didn't finish the soup.:masadd:

Char Yen and Stir Fried Baby Kailan taste like other Thai Food stalls. I would like to emphasize that Mango with Glutinous Rice is AWESOMELY DELICIOUS! lol The thick coconut milk that is poured onto the rice, thought after our main course, eating Glutinous Rice is real filling, but we still finish it because it's really nice. DO EAT IT K!!!tongue

Omelette Pad Thai
Smile 2012-07-03
Famous for its thai food, the shop sells a variety of authentic thai food for thai food lovers. This plate of Omelette Pad Thai is one of its signature dish. The pad thai is served and wrapped with a well cooked omelette. The omelette is warm and yummy, well cooked and served piping hot. Within the omelette there is an array of ingredients such as vegetables, noodles and seafood. Overall not too spicy or salty and recommended for people who miss thailand and thai food. lol

reasonable price and tasty thai
Smile 2012-06-13
- The Shop
Diandin Leluk Thai Restaurant is owned by a Singaporean man with his Thai wife. They are located in Golden Mile Complex, a popular haunt to Thai nationals and a place for people to aboard their coach to Malaysia.

This is probably one of Singapore's better Thai cuisine that has a reasonable price with decent authentic flavors.

They have condiments like dried chili flakes, sugar, nam pla (fish sauce) and ground peanut on the table. You can adjust the taste of your food accordingly if you like.

- The Food
Papaya Salad Thai Style @ $5 (also known as "som tam")

The slightly tart flavor of the green papaya combines well with the spice of red chilli, the saltiness of shrimp paste, fish sauce and crunchy peanuts. However this green papaya salad is not as tasty as what we expected.

Clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup @ $10

The tangy and spicy seafood soup is served in a typical Thai ware with candle beneath. Thou I prefer the (red) tom yum soup but both soup is so potent & piquant that every mouthful is mind blowing!

Please savor the soup slowly, if you get choke, a jug of ice water won't be able to save your throat too. Fret not for those who has little tolerance for spiciness, you can always request for less chilli.

Stir-Fried Kangkong with Sambal Belachan @ $8

This veggie is absolutely fantastic! Every bite has a nice crunch with a great blend of chilli and prawn. Yummmm...

Deep Fried Prawn Cake (4 pcs) @ $10

The deep-fried chunky prawns serve with sweet Thai chili is gratify. Thou it's quite pricey for 4pcs of prawn cake, but every bite is absolutely delicious!

Mango with Sticky Rice @ $6

The sweetly ripe mango, served atop a bed of glutinous rice drizzled in coconut milk is a hit!

Lemon Grass Juice @ $1.50
(no picture taken) - i had better lemon grass juice before *^_^*

My last experience on 12 August 2011 was as scrumptious. I had Red Tom Yum, Spicy Long Bean, Prawn and they are equally tasty!

- My Opinion
Their food is much spicier than most Thai Restaurant. For those who don't much take spice, be prepare to "enjoy" a fantastic tingling that tickles in your stomach. It will give you a good purge thereafter!

I have very high tolerance for spiciness and the tom yum is a little spicy to me, so I guess it will be tongue burning for most. I will definitely return again for more Red Tom Yum!

Authentic Thai
Smile 2012-06-04
I used to live in Thailand so am quite fussy about Thai food. So, when I want a true Thai meal, I head for Golden Mile Centre.

I've tried most of the restaurants there, but keep coming back to Diandin Leluk. It definitely has the best environment of all the restaurants there (it's a proper restaurant) and is great for groups or even for a quick solo meal.

My favorites are:

- Phad kra pow (fried meat with basil): With pork or chicken, a single plate is a bargain $4. Add $1 for a fried egg on top. Really simple, but really flavorful and spicy.
- Som tam thai: Thai-style papaya salad with peanuts (the Lao style has the little crabs).
- Nam tok neau: Sliced beef and herb salad
- Panang moo ('dry curry pork' on the menu): Sweet and spicy curry... kind of like Malaysian rendang
- BBQ pork or beef - the meat is marinated with Thai spices then grilled. Comes with a great dipping sauce.

If you have a sweet tooth, definitely try the Thai iced tea!

   Aroy dee!

Thai Foods
Just OK 2012-04-24
I will never visit this restaurant in Golden Mile but after this meal; it seemed to be one of the more established restaurants in this strange shopping center but however it is the worst “authentic” restaurant that I had tried.
Papaya Salad $5.00 - Rather too spicy for my taste, and tomato, lime, peanut chunks through it were not fresh. The peanuts seemed to be very soggy. The one I have opposite the golden mile at the hawker center seems to be even better.

best of the tom yam

this is the most authentic stores among the branches, situated at golden mile to cater for the thais. This is probably one of Singapore's better Thai cuisines that have a reasonable price with decent authentic flavors.
The best I like is the Tom Yum Seafood Soup @ $10

please tastes the soup slowly, if you get choke, a jug of ice water won't be able to save your throat too, it is just too spicy, fret not for those who has little tolerance for spiciness, you can always request for less chili. (I prefer the red tom yum soup than the clear soup but both is equally spicy and good)

Thai-Sing Food
Just OK 2010-08-13
Wanted to go to Sin Lai Lai to satisfy my craving for Tom Yam Soup & Basil chicken at Golden Mile at about 11am ,not aware that they only open at 12pm!! I had no choice but to give it a miss and look for a second alternative - Diandin Leluk Thai Restaurant.

The environment looks clean and the crowd there at 11am gave us an indication that they served nice food. We order Basil Chicken, thai prawn cake, otah, stir fried kai lan , tom yam soup (They only had Clear soup).

I was a little dissapointed as the Basil chicken is slight more salty and less spicy ,while the tom yam soup was so much more spicer as compare to Sin Lai Lai.However, the otah & prawn cake is comparable thus it wasnt such a bad meal afterall.
