I chanced upon Emicakes when I on my way home and was pretty excited as in the past I heard about their delicious yam and durian cakes. Bought a dozen of mini durian puffs to share among ourselves. They were best to be kept frozen when not consumed as advised. The pastries puffs were baked to golden perfect filled with creamy and yummy balls of durian fillings. They were rich in taste and absolute freshness was well maintained.Cost: $18.20Other than durian puffs, what had caught our attention was its "Eggless" cakes. Having seen more eggless cakes on the shelves nowadays, they were deemed the healthier choice of cakes as there was no cholesterol involved. The downside of not adding eggs would actually gave a harder texture to the cake. Each cake costs $2.The durian cake came in layers and durian cream was filled between them.Tiramisu Eggless cake on the other hand was not in favour of my tastebuds. I find it rather dry and dull as compared to the flavourful tiramisu cakes I ever had consumed. continue reading

Do you love cakes but cannot eat cakes with eggs in it? Try out these mini eggless cakes! There's a promotion going on. 1 of them is for $2 and if you buy 3, you will get 1 free. Basically, it is 4 for $8. I got the chocolate blueberry flavour which is the best seller, tiramisu, mocha and chocolate. I find that these cakes are a bit sweet and they did not quite meet my expectations. Perhaps I should stick to their signature durian cakes the next time! continue reading

Got these super pretty mini cakes in a plastic cup which cost around $2.70-$2.90 on average. I love the presentation of these mini cakes and it's great to have them at a party! the cakes were not overly sweet and were quite yummy. At a really affordable price of $2.70, it is definitely worth a try. The shop may be easily missed as it is a very small shop but it is very near Bukit Batok MRT station. continue reading

This is the time of year again – of celebrations, good tidings, feasts, and log cakes! The simple, yet elegant design of Emicake’s White Christmas Glamour Tiramisu Log Cake was truly “pick-me-up” in the literal sense. The velvety smooth fusion of cream cheese and fine coffee blended harmoniously together, creating a light yet flavourful touch. The moist texture of the vanilla chiffon cake melted on my taste buds, leaving a bitter-sweet aftertaste that left me wanting for more. The only flaw to an otherwise impeccable cake was the amount of cream which I found was too much for my palate to handle.Overall, savoring the cake was a splendid delight, indeed a sweet prelude to the yuletide season! continue reading
