Squid Ink Pasta ($14.90)
Today, I decided to be a bit more adventurous and try out the squid ink pasta. I wanted to try this during the previous dinner with my friends at Ma Maison but when they warned me that the ink would stained my teeth, I had second thoughts
True enough, I will not advise you to order this dish if you are going on a date. I got to wipe my lips a number of times to get rid of the ink so those people sitting near me will not laugh at me. Heehee...

It tasted like the normal dry version of the minced meat noodle that I often have but a bit more salty. Anyway, I ordered this dish for the experience only so I wasn't really expecting much.

 my colleague eat the hamburger steak that come with fries , vegetables etc and bits of mushrooms

i ate cheesy hotdogs that toppled with baked cheese , fries etc the hotdog when eat with cheese taste yummy the friens was crunchy

the orea milkshake comes with 1 pcs of oreo biscult and taste creamy the root beer float comes with vanilla ice cream

This is Empire State famous BIG BIG Burger, if i remembered correctly, it's ard 20++cm for a burger! We 4 girls shared it and it's really full for us as a dinner! There are 2 meat patty for the burger to chose. The menu featured the beef one only, but when we asked the service staff, they told us it can be changed to chicken patty, either grilled or fried! It comes with a scope of ice-cream and waffle biscuit as you can see. The candle was requested since it's one of my friend's birthday. The service crew are rather warm and friendly to sing along the birthday song with us too! Wee!

Iluma, with its high ceilings and spacious interior, provides the diners with an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere to dine in. The dish tastes as good as it looks. From the on-start, I was drawn to the clear distinction of the four cheeses. Unlike other restaurants, the cheeses were not mixed into a sauce. I was able to distinguish between each of the four cheeses, and mixed them as i pleased. The pasta was well-cooked, a texture that would suit any palate. Definitely a must-try!

With all the paintings on the wall, the interior design of this restaurant is very young and vibrant. The food portion is huge too! The garden salad was topped with pistachio, very refreshing and a good start to the heavy meal. We ordered grilled salmon. It was cooked just nice, and the sauce was well-balanced that enhance the overall flavour. The BBQ pork ribs were so well marinated. I like the caramelized BBQ sauce that coated the ribs. Thumbs up! The dessert was the sinful brownie that 'sank'

Tried the teriyaki chicken burger at Empire state, i like the decorations and interior design at empire state!The ambience there is very nice, very new york-ish. It's abit like HIPDINER.Other than that, the burger is quite tasty. Only one thing, the salad in the burger is abit sourish. At first, i thought it has turned bad but when i asked the waiter.. they say it's just like that. It's dipped into vinegar before serving. However in overall, the burger taste food. Shared this with friends, so it's just some starter, I had one more main course which is the chicken.american style half chicken with fries $11.90The chicken is nicely marinated and seasoned with sweet and sour sauce. Meat is tender and juicy, fries is okay too. After this half chicken and few pieces of pizza, I am very very full already.

 My friend who ordered this! She finished it easily! According to her, the patty was just nice.

Overall, the dining place was okay? It was quiet probably as it was weekend and there isn't much people in the shop. The staffs were well mannered and i enjoy the lunch session with my friend.

Empire State have fulfilled all the above requirements.

We were literally attracted to dine here by the vibrant pictures of their trademark monkey that have little spotlights that outline the picture making it even more attractive. Also, the guy standing at the door is really hardworking, as he hands us the menu, he immediately takes another menu and stand by for other passer by.

 Inside their menu, almost every page will have a small witty thoughts column by their trademark monkey. For example on the page of the soup, the money thoughts, "I've been on a diet for two weeks and all I've lost is two weeks." Kinda interesting and makes me wanna see what else he would say.

 Their "Must Have" Herb Roasted Maple Glazed Chicken is a little bit disappointing. Though the chicken is succulent and tender, I find myself unable to accept their strong spice seasoning. In face, I didn't even taste any maple syrup sauce on the skin and in the end, I have to dip the chicken with chili sauce to cover up their spice seasoning. The fries are cold and tasteless and the meslun salad uses vegetables that are so bitter that I spitted them out on first bite.

 Overall, I do enjoyed chilling out here, I love and all the songs they played and I think it would be great working here as can listen to all the nice songs. However, they need to look into flavours of their food that can suits Singaporeans.

The first impression towards this restaurant was very spacious and good for group gathering. After i ate the pork ribs, the taste was quite good. There are some special drinks that can choose from. There was no set meal in the menu. Everything is a-la-carte.
