Signature garlic bread.
IMO, it is not worth the price but you may like to give it a try. The bread is crusty, the garlic is fragrant and the insides are soft.

Burgundy Escargots
It tasted rather exotic for my taste buds. The snails were juicy and there was a slight hint of brandy.

Swordfish skewer
I've heard much ravings about Esmirada skewers and am keen to try it. The bf commented that the swordfish was juicy but it is not really to my liking. The flesh is too tough for me and I grew tired of chewing it. The bell pepper tasted fine, nothing special though.

Paella Espanola
Paella is one of the world's most famous rice dishes and obviously it is a must to order when you eat Spanish. It was my first time eating saffron rice and I fell in love with it. Every grain of rice is one of its own and doesn't stick to each other. The portion is rather generous as well, able to feed 2 persons with smaller appetites.

Go Spanish!
Smile 2012-04-27

Located just outside the Orchard Hotel, Esmirada is such a gorgeous place. The interior design is of great taste, and creates a good ambiance for a good meal.

We had the Bouillabaisse ($33), which is the French fisherman stew. The fresh seafood including squid, fish, mussels and prawns are cooked in a stew with lots of tomatoes, onions, vegetables, and perfectly served with the famous garlic bread! The bread is so crusty! Awesomely delicious!

We also ordered the Paella Valenciana ($33). This famous Spanish dish is basically the saffron rice cooked in a flavourful tomato sauce with chicken pieces and lots of seafood. The rice absorbs all the great flavour of the sauce. Thumbs up! Apparently this dish is also available with pasta.

For the dessert, we had the Rice Pudding ($10), which served with vanilla sugar and cinnamon. It tastes pretty nice at the first few bites, however, turns starchily filling afterwards, in which we couldn't finish it.

One the other hand, Lemon Creme Brulee ($10) served with berries, is so appetizing! The egg flavour is so rich and aromatic, we just can't get enough of it! Another thumbs up!!

Esmirada for a great dinner with my family! One of the most memorable dishes is the White Wine Mussels. The mussels were super fresh! The white wine has totally seeped into the mussels and with each bite of the mussels, you are bound to have the white wine sauce bursting in your mouth. Very good. We couldn’t have enough of it!

It's Dinner @ Esmirada !
Smile 2010-12-05

This is one of my favourites. A very special dining experience awaits you as you step into the Mediterranean cuisine Restaurant. It's a little dimmed down to ensure the candle light atmosphere sits you down appreciating the place, anticipating more.

You need to order the signature dishes : the tantalizing Esmirada Meat-Skewers which is served on an huge iron frame,so huge that it makes you feel guilty. Eating is central to the theme and it is visually captivating. We didn't miss the other signature dish too - spicy Moroccan Cous Cous. At the same time, they didn't forget the service. The waiter will greet you, ask if you need recommendation for the dishes, and ensure you are well looked after. They will also make an effort to joke with you, though I suspect some are rehearsed.

The only thing I lament is that the night was a little thin, so they didn't do the "Esmirada 'Zorba' - an ancient Greek habit of smashing plates for good luck! If you intend to go, go on Sat night. The chances are higher that they do this.

A lovely evening and eating experience for you. Great for chilling out !
