This coffeeshop is solely owned by Fei Fei Wanton Noodle, with a small drink stall at the corner. I was there rather early and it was not packed. It looks really plain when it was served originally and the ingredients were all at the bottom! This is after mixing. There were 2 steamed wantons, 2 fried wantons, char siew and vegetables. I prefer the egg noodles with plain sauce compared to the dark sauce ones. As I have a low tolerance for chilli, I requested for it to be served separately, otherwise they will just put it on your spoon. The chilli was not too spicy and I mixed it together with the noodles if not it would be kinda bland. I wonder what's the hype about this wanton mee stall as the ingredients were all really average and the wantons were so small! Also, the texture of the noodles were a little on the hard side. There is actually another Fei Fei Wanton Noodle stall opposite and I'll give that a try the next time I'm around the area.  continue reading

Was here for lunch as my friend recommend this place for nice wanton mee. We both had wanton noodles which consists of char siew, vege, and steamed wantons and we also shared a plate of fried wanton (total cost is SGD $12.50). Personally i feel that the noodles is very average, not as good as what my friend mentioned. The chilli sauce is tasteless to me, no spice at all!! steamed wanton and char siew were pretty average too. However i do like the fried wanton, very crispy and taste good with the sweet chilli they give continue reading

I come here time and time again for their Wanton Noodles because the noodles are so unique I haven't really tasted anything like it anywhere else. My basic requirements for any restaurants/food stalls etc is consistency, and this place never failed so far. The noodles has a nice smooth texture and taste, mix it with the home made chilli for that kick in your tummy. Unfortunately, the fried Yong Tau Foo was literally dripping with oil and has a 'OLD' oil taste; appearance wasn't really appetizing and the eggplant and toufu soaks up the salty and oily sauce, didn't work out for me at all. continue reading

This is one of the food stall which I do not really mind to queue for more than twenty minutes just for a bowl of their signature wanton noodles. The stall owner is friendly and their noodles is simply soo delicious that everyone is craving for it. Very chewy noodles tossed together with their secret recipe chilli paste that make it very tasty. The wantons are also smooth and juicy too. continue reading

The FoodI ordered the famous Joo Jiat Wanton mee. The noodles were cooked almost to a perfect texture very springy and had a nice bite to it. The Chili were nice and not so spicy but the char siew were too thin until cannot taste the aroma of Char SiewWantons were quite small with 2 pieces only but were quite soft and juicy. The soup will be given once we have finished the noodles and drink together with the sauce in the plate. Quite unique way of drinking the soup. The ServiceWaiting time still acceptable as the food is served within 15mins.The AmbienceAlthough the stall is in a coffeeshop, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy hence still acceptableThe PriceReasonably priced at $3 onwards per plate for decent portion.OverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading
