Mini Buns
Just OK 2013-04-17

Food
Four leaves mini breads is one of my common choice for my weekdays breakfast. I find that it is an innovative idea to create buns in mini sizes so that customers like me can enjoy 3 types of bread at one go without filling the stomach up in a short time. Besides that, it is so small that can be easily munch on the go during my way to work.

There is a recent increase in pricing from 3 for $1.95 to $2.20 but it never stop me from buying.

Four leaves plastic bag comes in green, logo printed exactly with 4 leaves as the name suggest.

Mini Sesami bread with luncheon meat. Only realised that portion of the small luncheon meat remains at the bottom of the plastic bag while I'm eating.

Chicken Hotdog bread that was bite off by me. Love the chicken hotdog taste.

These 3 buns are individually packed

Service
On a average side. Queues are cleared fast.

Ambience
The shop is rather squeezy and have limited walkways, usually the long queues will block shoppers who are selecting the bread. So be careful not to topple off your trays.

The Cake Shop that Never Fails
Smile 2013-03-07

One of my favourite cake shops is Four Leaves, especially the Jurong Point branch. It is always open till late, like nearly 10pm - best for last minute cake decisions! When the entire mall is closed, Four Leaves will still be open. Moreover, the aunties selling the cakes are always very accommodating for last minute cake buying, because they will go to their fridge at the back to take it out.

One of my favourite flavours is this chocolate cake, especially the juicy fruity round bits as the toppings. It is my favourite part of the cake, and my friends all agree with me! smile The rest of the cake is also much of the real deal, unlike many cakes full of whipped cream. The whole thing is very chocolatey and very indulging. This one is $42, quite expensive though.

Four Leaves also has another flavour, the strawberry one, which is not as nice as this one. That one is filled with whipped cream and too sweet for me.

chocolate bread
Smile 2012-04-29

I tried the premium healthy wheat bread the other time, so I had originally wanted to get back the same bread, but it was sold out. Since I was already there, I decided to try another bread instead, which is the chocolate bread. The fragrance from the chocolate bread is much more distinct than the wheat bread due to the chocolate flavour and tastewise it is good as well. I can eat it straight from the pack without having to spread any jam or butter since the chocolate flavour is quite distinct and the bread overall is sweet tasting. I am beginning to like four leaves bread more and more!

Coco Exotic Cake
Smile 2011-12-08

   Coco Exotic Cake

This is a hazelnut chocolate sponge cake with wafer layers in it so you get the crunch within the cake. I don't really like full chocolate sponge cakes so this cake was perfect to my liking. <3 There were also pieces of walnut in it that gave more crunch! smile The cake was sweet but not overly rich. You would definitely crave for more than a piece of this cake, especially if you are a Nutella lover! smile

Choco Exotic
Smile 2011-10-18 (Related Review)

I love Four Leaves' cakes and it was my first time trying the Choco Exotic. Like all other chocolate cakes, I was worried it'd be too sweet for my liking and indeed, it was too sweet. However, the cake has a unique layer of crunchy cereal/biscuit. It tastes just like Kinder Bueno, which only adds on to the sweetness of the already sweet cake.

Although it tastes good, its just too sweet for one person. It'd be a good idea to share the cake between 2 people so that one won't get sick of it. Its actually one of the more expensive cakes Four Leaves sells. It costs $3.50 per slice.

Sandwiches
Just OK 2011-10-06

Whenever I walk past Four Leaves I'd definitely look at their sandwiches. It looks really good from the way they presented it but b/c of the price I've never really wanted to try it.

Anyway, I decided to have it for lunch and went ahead to buy it even though it cost me nearly $5. To their defence, although sliced up in small pieces, that's probably like 2.5 full-sized sandwiches.

The bread looked really moist and were actually overly-moist for my liking. I especially liked the cheese sandwiches b/c the cheese were very thick, which is always a good thing for a sandwich. The rest of the fillings (egg and ham) weren't too special and were like any other sandwiches.

It was nice trying it but there's really nothing too unique about it for it to cost nearly $5. If anyone's going to try it, it'll probably be good to share it smile

Strawberry shortcake
Smile 2011-09-03 (Related Review)

Whenever i mention four leaves' cakes, there is always definitely at least one person who'd start ranting about how good the strawberry shortcakes from four leaves are.

I gave it a try and i'd say it wasn't as good as what people claimed it was..but it is definitely a worth trying cake. The cake is very moist and soft, it'll melt in your mouth. The whipped cream are slightly sweet and does not have the oily texture. The strawberries used aren't sour but i didn't like the coat of jelly-like ingredient on the top strawberry. It caused the strawberry to taste like a type of medication.

Overall, the was pretty good but i don't get what's the fuss about it. I do recommend it though! smile It is relatively cheap for a big slice!

Double Caterpillar!
Just OK 2011-08-28

The bread I have bought is called double caterpillar! As I see the name is very special I decided to give it a try! I was disappointed to find out that there is no filling and it is hollow inside. There's only a bit sugar topping on top. It may be called double caterpillar because the bread looks like two caterpillar joined together? Haha

Eclair
Cries 2011-08-24 (Related Review)

This is my first time trying the eclair from Four Leaves. It is a relatively big eclair for a low cost of $1.50. Although it does look appealing, it didn't taste as good. The chocolate topping isn't sweet and it is slightly bitter but it doesn't taste like dark chocolate. They used chocolate cream for the eclair but the cream is tasteless. Considering they I do not like bitter chocolate or tasteless cream, this eclair was a combination of stuff I don't like.

Although cheap, I wouldn't buy it again.

mini buns
Smile 2011-08-18

I bought some breakfast for my family as breakfast is the most important meal to kick start a new day. I happened to pass by four leaves and decided to buy their mini buns and pastries. I like the mini hotdog croissant, very crispy. I prefer to buy the mini ones so that my children can choose which ones they want to eat!

Ham Bun
Smile 2011-08-04 (Related Review)

Located nearby Boon Lay MRT Station, Four Leaves is a convenient bakery for me to pick up a couple of bread before heading for school. The mini buns that are only $0.70 each or $1.95 for 3 or $2.95 for 5. It comes in a wide variety of buns, including hot dog buns, brownies, ham buns etc. Although they call it mini bun, some of the buns are almost the same size as the normal sized buns sold in other bakeries.

The ham bun’s bread was soft and moist with a nice fresh bread smell. For such a small sized bread, Four Leaves was very generous with the ham, putting a relatively thick layer of ham on it. However, the ham is a little salty and may not be suitable for people who dislike salty hotdogs/hams. I love the salty taste in hams and hotdogs therefore it was the perfect taste for me.

Little Chocolate Bits
Smile 2011-08-04

With a wide variety of fillings and flavors, Four Leaves is one of my favorite bakeries to grab fresh bread before going to school. I’ve seen many people snacking on their little chocolate bits so I decided to try it today.

At a low price of $1.80, you’ll get a packet of approximately 8 small buns. Four Leaves sell 2 flavors of these bite-size breads and they are chocolate and custard. The bread is very soft and moist with 2 thin layers of chocolate in each little bit. The flavoring is just-nice, that is, not too sweet neither is it too tasteless.

These little chocolate bits are perfect for a light breakfast. If you prefer to have a heavy breakfast, it’ll be good to have an additional beverage or bun to complement these bits.

Coffee Bread
Smile 2011-07-11

The coffee bun was very popular at one time but the craze has actually died down now. However, I still quite like it though. The coffee bun is crispy on the outside especially the edges. Inside it is soft and fluffy. The bread has a very strong coffee aroma and the taste lingers in your mouth for a period of time before it goes away.

Smile 2011-07-09

At Four Leaves, not only do they sell quality fresh cream cakes and pastries, they variety range of breads are also delicious as well. For those who would like to try more range of their breads at an affordable price, Four Leaves also have many few mini ranges of breads which can satisfy your taste bud. At $2.80, you can choose five different/same types of mini breads. You wil never feel sick and boring with their mini range! My verdict: 7/10
