Strawberry cakeBest dessert after a hearty meal. Sweet, creamy, berry cake. Fruit cake always give people a healthier feeling than those chocolate fudge or chocolate moouse. It's not very costly. 1 slice about $6-7. They do sell the entire cake, best for birthday parties. continue reading

I was shopping in Plaza Singapura and was looking for a place to settle down to have some light bites. And this place selling a wide range of beautiful fruit tarts that are cake-like deeply attracted me.They are too pretty to resist and i had a hard time deciding which one to have. Finally I settled on a banana strawberry chocolate tart. It was beautiful and yummy, with just the right sweetness. I love the fresh strawberries and banana too. continue reading

For full review - http://midas400.blogspot.sg/2013/12/very-yummy-fruit-tarts-from-fruit.htmlAfter a gruelling 4hrs queue to get my new handphone, I had decided to reward myself with some sweet treats from Fruit Paradise. They have an extensive range of mouth-watering flavors to choice from. Kinda hard to decide which one to take home. After checking with the staffs there, I purchased two chocolate based tarts to try..Chocolate Banana tart $6.80++This is heavenly, a tall stack of sweet banana, fresh cream, choco sponge cake on top of a chocolate mousse based and crumbly tart. This combination is so potent that it was wiped out within a minute!Mixed Berries Choco tart $7.80++This is good too, another crowd pleasing combi of chocolate, strawberries and crunchy almond flakes! Both hubby and I enjoyed the tarts very much. I will be back for more! continue reading

Fruit Paradise is located at level 4 Japanese corner at the far end between Ajisen Ramen and Kazokutei. The whole area is called “Tokyo Walker” and based on the company stated in my bill, it should be under Bachmann Japanese Restaurant Pte Ltd.One can seat in any of these restaurant and order the dishes from the other restaurant next to it (Interesting and space saving) though we are lucky enough to be able to sit at the tables within Fruit Paradise restaurant. The fruit tarts being on display looks so pretty and tasty that I always been wanting to try out.The mango Fruit Tart is one of the more popular tart being sold in Fruit Paradise as these tart are being prepared using sweet Thai mangoes with cheese mousse. For those who do not really like cheese taste, you could try it out too as the cheese taste is not strong at all. The mango is able to smooth the overall taste and it is simply heavenly to eat it. Though for one thing is that the sponge cake seems to be extra over there as I would prefer to have more cheese mousse than more sponge cake in it (Personal preference). This tart is prepared using fresh strawberries with rich cheese cream but still, the cheese is not strong for those who do not like cheese. Instead of cheese base, this tart is using custard base which I felt do not taste as good as the mango tart which uses cheese base (I like cheese). continue reading

My friend bought a fruit tart called the Fruity Crepe for me when she came to my house as she knew my adoration for fruit tarts. The tart base consist of a crumbly, buttery tart with cream cheese mousse that is very smooth and has a light cheese taste. On top of it lies custard, sponge cake, fresh fruits, crepes and fresh cream arranged in layers, making it very visually appealing. Strawberry, blackberry, kiwi, blueberry and mango are used in this colourful creation. The freshness of the fruits they use and the complexity of the layers justify their higher-than-average price of $7.80++. The use of both sweet and tangy fruits balance out the creaminess in this tart. The sponge cake was very light. The crepe was also very thin and soft. The whole combination might look heavy, but it was instead just right anf very satisfy. Overall, a good choice out of their wide variety of options. continue reading
