There are many nice stalls and food at Kovan Hougang Market & Food Centre and this yong tau foo is one of my favourite stall here. They have a large variety of items for you to choose from and most of them I will choose fishball, tau pok, fried wanton, lady finger, cuttlefish, fried egg and fried tau kee. They are also very generous with their sweet sauce and chili sauce and most importantly, their yong tau foo items are fresh. continue reading

This is another one of my eat from young store.I really like the sweet sauce and the generous amount of sesame seed they put on it. I always liked it dry with bee hoon at this store and the yellow bean soup they serve. I also like the variety of ingredients they have to choose from including the common tau pok, toufu and I particularly like the squid slices they offer. continue reading

We would always encounter a problem during lunch time and that is "What to eat today?" It's very common especially when the eating places around your office has limited choices. Well, I don't really face such a problem as I have plenty of choices. The only problem is that I tend to have craving for a variety. On a contra, yong tau foo is something where u get to mix and match assorted food (veggie, fishballs, chicken, yam, egg etc...) and serve with either noodles or rice. Which i feel is great and i get to savour an assortment. Unlike Chicken rice where i only get to eat chicken with rice or fishball noodles with only noodles, minced pork and fishballs..Here's my soupy mix and matched with lots of greens. Love the soup base which was brewed with soy beans and ikan bilis. Sweet and tasty and best is that i don't feel thirsty after drinking plenty of soup, which means not much of msg ya! lolz...And sinfully unhealthy deep fried items with plenty of sauces. continue reading
