Habib Rojak is one of the Halal Stalls located in Pasir Panjang Food Centre. They are easily located among the stretch of Halal eateries.Indian Rojak is always attractive to me especially when its bright attractive color flavoured fried stuffs were all stacked nicely accordingly on the shelf, somehow asking me to come closer and pick them up.Just like the Typical Chinese Rojak (Goh Hiong / Wu Xiang), one is to choose their favourite staff from the display and hand over to the shop helpers to warm them up again.Since it was lunch time during my time of visit, the guy who was manning the stall was as busy as a bee. There were customers non stop and he had to fried the selected food items plate after plate thus his expression on face was not looking too good.Sauce given was warm and not too spicy. The fried stuff were crunchy and was rather fresh to me. One thing about its cuttlefish was its texture, it tasted quite soft and more like pig's skin than the sea creature.Overall, I would say that the taste was average and price falls within market's standard.http://www.umakemehungry.com/2014/03/habib-rojak.html continue reading

I went during lunch. There was a queue at this stall. I guess their foods must be of a certain standard to attract the crowd. I waited for a while to order and get my foods. First bite. It did not manage to impress. The foods tasted quite mediocre. Some of the ingredients like tau kwa did not taste too fresh. They managed to fry it well so not oily at all. Their sauce tasted a bit too sweet. I would rather have it on its own without the sauce. continue reading

Pasir Panang FC is my nearest food center so I figure I should try everything there at least once! I should admit that this was my first time trying Indian Rojak.... the plate in the photo cost about $5. It was fine, but nothing special. I guess it would have been better if the pieces were hotter and crispier. The chili sauce was a bit disappointing... tasted like the stuff from a bottle, but starchier. The friends I was eating with said they've had better at other hawker centres, so I guess I'll have to try it again. That said, the fruit rojak stall at Pasir Panjang FC is one of my favorites continue reading

It seems to be there is always a queue around this stall during lunch time. I had wanted to try this stall but was turn off by the queue. I was lucky to arrive earlier and was able to order without queuing. Habib Rojak serves typical india rojak which you can choose the items and they will fry and cut the item for you. The items arrive nice and crispy but a bit oily and the dipping sauce is also good. continue reading

Happened to be here in an afternoon. There were quite a few people right in front of this stall hence it has somewhat given me an impression that this stall is worth trying. I picked my items and waited for a while for the foods to be re-fried. When i finally gotten my first bite, it did not manage to impress me though not too disappointing as well. And, i tasted a little sourish outta some of the fried flour items. I did not know whether it was due to the seasoning used or the compromise on the freshness of the foods?I have tried the better ones out there so i am definite i would not be back. continue reading
