Happy Veg / Fresh Sugarcane Juice

Bought this Crab Stick for dinner. When I opened the packaging, it smell good. I can see bean sprouts, carrot strips and together with the crab stick. First bite, it was cold but the outer layer still crispy and fluffy on the inside. It a bit oily. This is an unhealthy snack but still taste good. Oveall, it was nice.

The kiosk located on the 3rd floor of Nex outside NTUC. It sells deep fried fritters that comes in a few varieties such as salmon, prawn, chives and etc. I did not find a lot of vegetables with the fritters although it is named HappyVeg. I had the prawn fritter. The outter was crisp and inside fluffy. However it is quite oily. An unhealthy snack but tasty pretty good.

hmmm another one of those places where the corn tastes chalk and odd. they must do it the same way and buy the same corn from the same people. very fake corn taste. and the water has chlorine taste as well so they did not use filter to steam the corn. no butter or salt and hide the taste of chlorine and chalk! you can add different flavours like cheese, butter, salt, etc to your corn here. but there are extra charges. their plain corn is already $2.20. not generous serving. not recommended for the fake, chalky taste of the corn.

Another of my all-time favourite snack, the soft shell crab fritter from Happy Veg. As a fan of soft shell crab, I was delighted when Happy Veg offered a dish where they combined it with the vege snack and made it so affordable for me whenever I have a craving for soft shell crab. The veg fritter was served fresh and was not very oily, thus making it a healthy snack. The fritter was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also the soft shell crab serving was also generous as it was spread across the top surface of the fritters.

Passed by Nex and went in to get some night snack and was at level 3, when I saw Happy Veg. So decided to get one frred fritter. At first, intend to get the oyster one but then already sold out, so have to settle for the prawn fritter.

It was still hot when I bought it but by the time I reached home, it was cold already but then the outer layer was still crispy. They have fried it well as it retained the crispiness but then it was slightly oily. The batter comprises of veggies cut into small bites. I can see bean sprouts, carrot strips, green peas. Together with the small prawn, it was delicious despite it was cold. Yummy.
