My friend told me that this is the best place for Mookata, so I requested my girlfriend to have dinner with me last evening from 8.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.Before confirming with her, I quickly whatsapp the crew for all kind of information especially buffet dinner because she did not want to have the mookata set for 2 person due to not worth in eating that.Subsequently, I sent the Location map for her to get there.She was really surprised on how good the food here after eating it. At the price of $25.90+GST is an offer in the hotpot scene. However, their buffet menu is not inclusive of drinks. Their choice of drinks are Lemongrass/Lime Juice/Coffee/Tea, so we chose Lemongrass and Thai Iced Tea because her favourite is the lemon grass drink.Fresh Seafood as follows:Grilled Mussels - They are quite good and flavoured nicely set in the serving plate.Grilled Prawns - I thought that this was the best dish in the restaurant. The prawns are huge, especially the head!! It was so good that the first time we ordered it (So big, so juicy and so good).Raw Cockle Clams - Unable to grill, so we cook inside the soup.Authentic Recipe as follows:Thai Fish Cakes - Crunchy, juicy and tasty. Very good when dipped in the sweet and sour sauce provided with a plate of garlic.Thai Style BBQ Pork Collar - This is a well-marinated and very flavourful cut of meat.We decided not to eat too full because we want to eat supper at Ye Zhi Mei Homemade Dimsum since we were back to Maude Road.Conclusion: No need to go Bangkok, Thailand because you get the chance to eat it in Singapore.

My friend recommended me to this bbq buffet restaurant here. Was really surprise on how good the food here after ate it. At merely $25.90 net per adult, I get to enjoy this buffet dinner free flow, especially love those juicy pork belly which is really soft and juicy. The meats are also not too dry and very easy to chew. The cheese sausage is also very chewy and fresh, after barberque it make it even more fragrant and delicious. Restaurant is quite cosy but was abit too noisy due to the good business here. Restaurant staffs are also friendly too.

Huay Hwang Thai Kitchen has no aircon, so it's rather hot and one of the downsides. There is an option of set dinner or buffet ($25.90 nett) and the selection is quite alright for its price. Unfortunately, no drinks are included and you will have to pay extra for drinks because the steamboat can get rather salty after a while. Ingredients are rather fresh, especially the seafood but other frozen stuff like fish balls are very common. Would prefer tom yum kungfu for mookata.

“Moo Ka Ta” literally means “pork skillet” in Thai and refers to the special cooking apparatus to enjoy both BBQ and hot pot at the same time.Originated from Chiang Mai, a trough of soup sits on a crock of charcoal and a dome shaped grill is placed on the trough. This allows the smoke from the charcoal to waft up to the grill, perfuming the meat with fragrance.So I decided to try my first Mookata at Huay Hwang Thai PlaceThere's no air con, so be prepare to sweat!Here's the menu givenYou can choose the set dinner or the buffet dinner ($25.90 Nett)I like when there are no service charges and gst !So you can order any food from the menu and you can re-order the meats, the vegetables etc unless stated "not included in the buffet"I like the soup base, it's very refreshing!It's the best steamboat cum bbq I ever hadFood are fresh! Definitely worth the price (:
