Ichiban Sushi is my favourite place to go when my craving for sushi suddenly strike as it is widely located in many shopping centre all over Singapore. I feel that it is one of the chain restaurant that serves affordable sushi, yet of good quality.The cheapest coloured plates cost $2.40++ and their price ranges up to $6++. I always love coming to ichiban because of the good service and quality of food! my favorite set here will always be this salmon set!! it consists of both raw salmon (sashimi ) and grilled salmon steak. Totally perfect for a salmon lover like me! Both types of salmon were fresh and the standard is consistent as i have been here for quite a number of times. The set also include a bowl of rice, soup, watermelon and chawanmushi. Very worth it i would say

We went shopping with my cousins at Jurong Point, crowded mall during weekends.I order Kurobuta Yaki Udon, Stir fried vegetables are under cook, still has strong raw ‘green’ taste. Black pork slice was dry and bland. Udon soaked in their house special sauce for too long became soggy and salty. Went out with the bf the other day and after we had our meal somewhere else, I was dying for a drink and I spotted the ichiban sushi having a new drinks menu. They always seem to come up with new menu to attract the customers in! I love this about the restaurant. Ordered this drink which was really pretty. When you stir it you can see the bits floating around and making a mini tornado inside makes it looks even prettier as the red bits (strawberries) starting floating up! And it looks like a sun

 Ordered this drink which was really pretty. This is essentially strawberry + sprite! But I like the combi! Although it is a little pricey at $4.90++

Ichiban sushi is one of the best affordable Japanese restaurant to dine in at reasonable prices and exceptionally good food. They serve a wide range of Japanese cuisine and they are very efficient when comes to serving the customers, the food usually gets served within around 10-15 mins time during off-peak hours. Therefore, I would say that this is a place for Japanese food lovers who likes fast food service.

 Edamame, it's good for health but I dont know why. However, I love salty stuff but not very salty. The peas are sweet and the outer covering is salty hence it really taste very good ,the combination.

 Lobster sushi, lovers of lobster and wasabi should just go for this, the lobster ain't small little pieces, bite size however, the pricing is probably a little too pricey.

Ichiban has many outlets all over Singapore so they are really accessible. I like the sushi here alot because they season the rice very well. The rice is sweet savory and slightly sour all at once and really exemplifies the flavour of the raw salmon. The salmon sushi is slightly fatty with good bite and texture with cool rice and smooth unctuous salmon. Really tasty and delicious I make a meal solely out of salmon sushi!

Whenever you be there, it must be very crowed and you need a long time to queue especially at the peak hour. So if you don't want to spend too much time on queue, please be there avoid peak hour. Well, if you give me a scale from 1-10 to grade this dish, i will give it around 6-7. It is too nice, but somehow is too salty and cheese make you feel full after eating for awhile. It costs $18.90(before GST and service charge), which is quite reasonable with the portion they gave and the amount of ingredient they added. However, as a lady, i am unable to finish the whole portion by myself. So you might want to bring a Macho man along!^^

Chicken Teriyaki Don is one of my favourite Japanese food as the chicken is deep-fried to perfection that it is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. With the sweet teriyaki sauce coated on the deep-fried chicken cubes, it does really helps to whet up my appetite as the teriyaki tastes a little bit sweet and I simply love it a lot. This a dish that everyone should try as it is inexpensive and tasty at the same time.

I ordered their salmon don and it tasted really heavenly, it was by far the nicest salmon don i ever eaten. The salmon were fresh and the portion was generous, the rice tasted extremely yummy that you could eat it on its own.  I ordered their salmon don and it tasted really heavenly, it was by far the nicest salmon don i ever eaten. The salmon were fresh and the portion was generous, the rice tasted extremely yummy that you could eat it on its own.  This was the pork rice set that we ordered and I find that it was just average. The pork slices were little and had a lot of fats which i do not really like. The fried food was so-so, and their chawanmushi was okay.

Overall, it was a satisfying meal because of the salmon don which really saved the day!

We love Ichiban as it offers many combination of set meals for us to choose from. Most importantly, the portion for one set meal is big enough to feed two! Recently, they added new dishes to their menu. We tried one of them - beef slices in sukiyaki sauce and baked tuna with lots of cheese on top. Verdict: 5/5! Simply delicious! The beef slices are thick and very tender!!! The baked tuna is my favourite!!! You do not need to order tuna sushi and you can just eat the tuna from the dish! Yums! T

The salmon used in their sushi is very fresh and totally not sting as well. The unagi fish used are also very sweet and full of the natural fragrant from the unagi itself. The japanese rice is also quite good in texture which is not too dry and really moist as well. Dip in the wasabi with japanese sauce certainly make it tastes even more delicious too. A dozen pieces for me is always never enough.

If you are tired of having your udon in the usual miso or clear soup in the japanese restaurant, then you may want to consider having this curry udon at ichiban. The thick udon is as usual very chewy and not soggy. The delicious part about this dish is the thick nice sweet japanese curry which really goes very well with the udon. Very appetitizing and the portion is just right for per person.
