My very first try at Indonesian pang pang after so long that at NTU. A lot of my friends told me is good. The rice was slightly too hard and dry but the chicken was really nice; soft and tender and goes well with their teriyakka sauce. I like their vegetables too; many find it too hard to chew on, but i prefer to have crunchy vegetable. It costs me 4.50 for this meal. continue reading

it was after the lunch crowd and I headed to Food Connection for a meal. I got the fish panggang with fried rice for $4. The fried rice did not taste like the chinese type of fried rice. It was yellow in colour and mildly flavoured. The fish skin was quite soggy but still tasted good. The cracker was also crispy and tasted addictive. The chilli and curry were not spicy though. Overall, it was an affordable and satisfying meal continue reading

Ordered a plate of ikan penyet for $3.50. Besides fish penyet, they also have ayam penyet (chicken). This set includes one whole fish, a large cracker and rice drizzled with curry sauce. The curry sauce was fragrant but it was not at all spicy. I could also spam lots of the chilli but it was not spicy too. The fish was easy to eat even though there were bones. I also loved the bits of crispy bits on top of the fish. Yummy! continue reading

I simply love the chicken panggang and fish fillet set at ntu food connection. The chicken is tender and juicy despite being grilled for some time. The sauce that they marinate is very tasty. The chicken is quite big piece. The fish fillet is also really good, despite being fried, it is not dried up. The fish is also quite fresh as well. They also give quite a large portion of rice as well. All these cost five dollars, if compared to outside food court. It is indeed cheaper! continue reading
