Kimly Seafood is one stall my family and I frequent for tzi char. My mum and brother usually does the ordering while I do the eating. As there were 7 of us, we ordered quite a lot of dishes. The more memorable ones were the Dried Chilli Chicken and the Hokkien Mee. I like the Dried Chilli Chicken because it is soaked in the sauce which is very flavourful. The chicken was also very tender and succulent. A little salty but it’s okay if you eat it with a lot of rice. The Hokkien Mee tastes not bad too and since we ordered such a big bowl, we had second servings. There were lots of ingredients in it too. We also ordered Steamed Fish and the sauce was still splattering because of the candle that was still boiling underneath it. This was quite dangerous and I got scalded by the sauce too as my hands happen to be near it. The steamed fish also ended with little sauce at the end of it. Quite disappointing because normally I like to scoop up the sauce to pair with the fish and rice. continue reading

My dad bought this pork cutlet rice with an sunny egg for my dinner from this Zi Char stall after his work. I have been there for some work before, it is just convenietly located just beside the Pioneer MRT station coffeeshop. But never has the chance to try their food as I was there early in the morning. First time trying their Zi Char. Their Zi Char standard is good. The pork is tastefully flavoured and tender, and the rice they used is quite good quality rice, which i love. Hope to try out their other dishes in the near future. continue reading
