Jai Thai has been serving authentic Thai food in Singapore since year 1999. It is well recognized as the most wallet friendly Thai restaurant in Singapore. They also provide catering services.Jai Thai menu has broad categories from appertizers, curry, tom yum, seafoods, chicken, vegetables, rice and noodles, drinks and many more. Each individual categories has a list of dishes to choose from. Most of the dishes come with 3 sizes – Small, Medium & Large and price ranging between S$5.00~ S$8.00 with the exception of steamed fish which is slightly higher. We finally settled with the choice of dishes and waiting for the foods to be served. The serving time is quite fast and efficient. We are quite pleased with the speed of serving. So here are the foods that we ordered for dinner:-Mixed Platters @S$14.00 (L) shared by 6 of us. Platter consists of thai spring rolls, fish cakes, deep fried bean curd and prawn cakes. All are nicely fried and not too dry. It goes well with the thai chili sauce and makes a pretty tasty starter.Pandan Chicken @S$2.00 per piece. It is one of their signature. Pandan chicken wrapped with a piece of pandan and deep fried chicken. They are quite generous with the chicken piece serving. Totally worth the price paid.Pad Thai @S$7.00 (M) was nicely presented. Pad thai was Q enough and it must eat with lots of peanuts, chili flakes and also sugar. This will gives the dish taste of crunchiness and sweetness.Fried Kang Kong @S$7.00 (M) is a must order dish to go with rice. It will never go wrong when you are having this with rice.Steamed Tofu with chicken basil @S$6.00(S) served with generous sauce overflowing the steamed tofu. Sweet with a little spicy sauce is all over chicken basil and the soft, bouncy tofu is our favourite dish of the night too. We enjoyed it with our rice as well.Tom Yam Seafood Clear Soup @S$5.00 (S) was spicy for me but my sister enjoyed it though. It has the seafood sweetness flowing into the soup as well.Deep fried Seabass fish with sweet & sour sauce @S$18.00. Don’t expect much of the freshness with the value offer. Nevertheless, when it is deep fried and drenched with sweet & sour sauce, it still tastes decent.Overall dinner was pocket friendly and shared among 6 of us. The foods are satisfying and we don’t burn our pocket holes at the same time. Location wise is quite convenient and the place was quite spacious. We had a great bonding time together. continue reading

This thai food chain is my new favourite place to go for thai food. They have a wide menu and almost everything on it is affordable and delicious. The green curry is very fragrant and delicious and is a must order for us everytime we visit. Coming in a variety of flavours, we choose the prawn one every time. The prawns are fresh and succulent and the gravy base is thick and fragrant. A delicious curry overall! continue reading

This is a Thai Food outlet chain. They have a few other branches. What I like about the food here is that it is authentic Thai food. Cooked and served by Authentic Thai. They have many affordable set dishes as well which comes with a small drink and dessert. I ordered the small tom yum soup with 2 fried chicken wrapped in pandan leave. I love the Tom Yum soup here cause it is cook with generous amount of lemon grass. Also, it is not too spicy for me. I think cause there is a tinge of tomato base, therefore a tinge of sweetness in the soup and spiciness was just right. As for the crispy chicken, it was really fragrant and crispy, perhaps cause it was cooked with pandan. continue reading

Pineapple rice set at Jai Thai is very good value at $8.80+. The rice is good enough on its own with mixed vegs, diced pineapple, chicken and generous chicken floss topping. The green curry and thai chilli fish are good but the highlight has to be the fragrant, juicy and toothsome pandan leaf chicken. continue reading

Have my lunch in this thai restaurant as I saw the foods in their menu are priced quite reasonable and the restaurant is not too crowded as well, so I need not queue too long for my food.Ordered their pineapple fried rice, which annoyed me that they took nearly twenty minutes to serve my plate of pineapple rice to my table. The portion was quite little and I can really taste any pineapples in the rice. The pork floss is also too salty and does not go well with the fried rice. The staffs are quite friendly here but because the food is sort of lousy, I would not want to revisit this restaurant again. continue reading
