This is another wanton mee that i truly enjoyed. Good foods hard to come by these days and this stall is definitely amongst the rare find. It served the Malaysia style wanton noodle. When i mentioned malaysia style, most people would associate it with the black sauce used. That is correct. The noodle served in a pool of black sauce with ingredients like braised mushroom, char siew, vegetable and wantons in the soup. The texture of noodle has got a distinctive springiness. The wantons are especially good too.
Best Wanton Mee stall. I've eaten for a few years whenever I'm at Chinatown area.
The noodle and the sauce blend well, nice and tasty; not to be left out. Q can be lolng during lunch time. Wanton quite big in size compare else where miserable. Their chili sauce shiok!!!
This has always been one of my favourite. It tasted towards the Malaysia style type of wanton noodle and this is particularly so with the added slices of mushroom.
The noodle has the springy texture that i loved and it's slightly thicker than the usual noodle served by its competitors. The noodle was soaked in a pool of dark sauce before you mixed it and after done mixing, it tasted heavenly. It tasted really good with the green cut chillies. And for $3.00, i got 3 wantons and 1 dumpling in my soup.
If you are a fan of Malaysia style wanton noodle then you gotta give this stall a try.
Noodles are cooked al dente. The very nice smelling char siew does not contain fats and meat is tender enough. Wanton is of considerable size and tastes not too bad, just that it was a little dry on the inside. Chilli here is so-so but their green chilli is fresh! Try this stall if you're more into char siew meat than the noodles
