Christmas Eve lunch at Thao Express at Paragon.Lucky to 2 seat in just a few minute. As the place is full house on the eve of holiday. We order Mango Salad - $8.90. Mango is sweet and sour. Tumb up.Seafood Tom Yum Soup - $9.90. A small bowl with mushroom, and 4 prawn. Too little ingredients.Thai Fish Cake - $8.90. Not really crispy on the outside. Soft inside.Thai Style Kangkong - $8.90. Fresh vegi. And two bowl of steam rice - $2.40. Rice is soft and sticky.Guess the service is slow at that time as is the eve of the hoilday.Food items waiting time 20 minute. continue reading

Service here was not so good though, as we had to walk into the shop to find the seats ourselves as there was no one at the customer service counter for a very long time. Had some trouble flagging a staff to take down our ordered too! Guess they might be understaffed. anyway the food is quite up to standard, so my friends and i have a enjoyable dinner there.. continue reading

So dinner in Thai express with cousins. The place was quite packed. But we managed to get seats quickly. The service was good. And the staff was responding Quickly. We ordered two plates of rice with sweet and sour fish, with the prawn toast bread served with thai chili sauce and Fish. The Prawn toast bread was so crunchy and very tasty. And as for the sweet and sour fish was tasty as well. The rice was served in quite a huge portion. I could hardly finish my rice. But manage to finish all the side dishes. They also served the food. I am quite pleased with their service. I would go back to the same place. continue reading

I don't remember what's the exact name of this dish(it's in thai) but I do know that it is fried soft shell crabs with curry gravy, served with white rice. This dish is pretty good and was really new to me as I've always gone with either the chicken green curry or seafood pad thai. The soft shell crabs serving was generous, more than what you'd get for a red plate at Sakae and the curry gravy complemented pretty well. Soft shell crabs wasn't too oily either and was crispy yummy. The thai white rice was fragrant and crunchy as usual. continue reading

An interesting name, but what got me to go in was the fact that it was by Thai Express.80% of the menu is the Thai Express with 20% of the items being signature items. The food was OK, but the service left much to be desired. The staff were competing with one another on whose turn it was to take orders. There was clearly some unhappiness among them. The worst part was that the manager was actually training his staff in a busy restaurant,That part really spoilt the whole dining experience!! continue reading
