KOI at Bugis +
Smile 2013-05-10

I remember the first outlet at Toa Payoh.... It was a few years ago and i was coming back from school... The amazing thing is that now it has expanded to other outlets.... The first cup of milk tea i had was the chocolate milk tea and the first time that i actually saw the sugary percentage....

As for me... when i was walking around certain places i saw the cafe pass Bugis + and i said to myself... what a wonderful world... Koi is here and imma get what i first bought a few years ago...

25% sugar if i can remember....

gorilla milk tea
Smile 2013-04-21

First established in Toa Payoh, I was always puzzled why I didn't find Koi in Taiwan. Anyway, Koi serves up a really really mean cup of jasmine pearl milk tea with chewy black pearls. I am so much a fan. I ordered the lowest sugar level to try to make myself feel less guilty. Anyway, it tasted perfectly fine and you could taste the brewed tea within the milk tea itself without the milk overpowering the tea taste. Great! but expensive.

My friend and I ordered their...
Hazelnut milk tea (left) and chocolate milk tea(right) smile

I always loves bubble tea from KOI ! because of the chewy pearls...
it is not too soft or too hard as compared to other bubble tea shops.

I drank the Hazelnut milk tea...it is not too milky with a bit of hazelnut flavor!
after I have finished the drink, there are still quite a lot of pearls left...

One of my favourites!
Smile 2013-02-27

Even though KOI has opened and expanded to many outlets here, the standard did not drop. I usually order the normal milk tea with 25% sugar and it is already sweet enough for me. You can request for less ice or less pearls. I always request for less pearls as I find that the pearls take up almost half of the cup and I will end up eating the pearls instead of enjoying the dirnk instead. The flavoured milk teas are good too.

KOI!
Smile 2013-01-09

I dropped by KOI today at Bugis+ cause I had a craving suddenly.

I usually order caramel milk tea ($2.90) because I like it pretty much. I've always liked koi more than any other bubbletea shops like gongcha! I think their original milk tea taste better than gongcha's one too.

The outlet at bugis+ is usually packed with people and the waiting time can be up to 20mins. KOI is just beside the macs.

Honeyyyyyy Milk TeA
Smile 2012-12-31

Honey Milk Tea.
A must to order whenever I visited any KOI Cafe in Singapore.
KOI is one of my favourite drink especially Honey Milk Tea.
They are never stingy on the pearls which are placed in our drinks. PLUS POINTS~~~~ tongue
The sweetness of their milk tea is just right unlike other milk teas which are rather bland.
The queue is always there for KOI Cafe, but to me it's worth the wait.
Cheers to KOI! smile

Lemon Green Tea
Smile 2012-11-15

I recently visited Koi at the newly revamped Bugis Plus mall to find they have released a new drink concoction, the Lemon Green Tea. I personally have grown a little tired of drinking overly sugared, milk tea and yearn for something tangy and refreshing. This new drink from koi seems to fit the bill. I ordered the Lemon Green Tea without milk, with 25% sugar level and pearls for $2.40. When you take a sip of this drink, the sourness from the lemon hits you, then slowly you can detect the slight bitterness and aroma of green tea enveloping the lemon taste. It is evident they use fresh lemon juice, the lemon does not taste processed or from syrup. I am very fascinated by this drink because I feel it has the right balance of lemon juice and green tea, each flavour do not overpower the other and it actually complements each other. I find this drink especially refreshing and very healthy!

But I need to caution those who do not like their drinks too sour; this drink can be too sour for some people, especially with 25% sugar level. I would recommend going for 50% sugar level or above. But for those who prefer a nice healthy drink and do not mind the naturally sour lemon juice, this would be the perfect cup!

Ice cream milk tea
Smile 2012-09-18

Well, Ice cream milk tea is actually one of my recommendation if you go to KOI for a cup of drink. There are green milk tea and red milk tea for you to choose from. I actually chose red milk tea for mine because i think its nicer. it is $2.90, pretty expensive, but its quite worth it because they used a lot of things in this cup of drink. I always choose my sugar level for 100% because i think that the sugar they put are just not enough. Well, they put the ice cream in the drink and every time its very hard to such the ice cream out. Well, the pearl don't really taste sweet but quite plain. Overall, try it! mad

refreshing yakult green tea
Smile 2012-08-13

After shopping at bugis street, i always pop by to bugis + to enjoy the air con and also to get my favourite koi milk tea. As yakult green tea has been my new favourite now, i decided to get that to quench my thirst. It is really nice and refreshing to have that on a hot and sunny day. They are also very generous with their pearls and despite it being a saturday afternoon and there was a lot of people, i only had to wait for 10 mins for my drinks to be ready.

Koi Cafe
Smile 2012-08-04

This cup is the regular size of Cacao Berry which is dark chocolate mixture because i don't really like the normal chocolate taste. However this is one of my favourite drink over there and often i would ask him to add only 30% of sugar level to it. I dont want to spoil the whole taste of the drink because too much sweetness is not good for health. And this costs only $2.90! (:

green tea macchiato
Smile 2012-07-27

I was shopping around bugis street with my girlfriend. I found it to be a pretty bad idea cos the place was really crowded and with the scorching temperature, it was pretty unbearable. We gave up and headed to bugis plus can got ourselves a large cup of bubble tea from koi to share. We ordered the Green Tea Macchiato. It was very refreshing. You can taste the green tea fragrance at every gulp. But the frothing on top mix very fast with the green tea below but it still taste great.

Passion Aloe Vera
Smile 2012-07-25

Koi's new flavour, Passion Aloe Vera at $3.50!

A tad too much aloe vera though, it was mostly stucked at the bottom when I finished the drink and had to suck up the aloe vera without the drink.... advisable to shake and stir the drink while you drink! tried 70% and it was abit too sweet for me, so perhaps 50% would be recommended instead.

A very refreshing drink though, great for hot weather like these!

koi
Smile 2012-07-22

the new creation from koi is the yakult green tea which is $2.90 with pearl. the pearl given is really really too much, i keep on chewing the pearl instead of enjoying the drink. anyway the drink is just awesome, it's great to have come out of this idea of mixing the yakult with green tea. the drink has the sourish taste of yakult, and yet i can still taste the fragrant flavour of the green tea.

large cup
Smile 2012-07-22

i went to bugis to do some window shopping. I decided to stop by koi to get myself a cup of their awesome bubble tea. I got myself their green milk tea. their green tea is really fragrant, I ordered their twenty five percentage sugar. It was not too sweet. it was really milky as well. the milk made the drink taste really smooth. I ordered their large cup as I was really thirsty, it was really very satisfying.

Koi
Smile 2012-07-02

For all the other outlets, the queue are always snake long. Here, it is different. There's a staff holding an ipad serving the customers for orders before payment. She will key in my order and we queue for payment then collection. Waiting time cut down! I had black tea macchiato with 50% sugar level. It was delicious! There's no need to use a straw. For this drink, a cutter is given instead. Slit a small opening at the side and sipped it! Drink it along with the thick foam. Yums!
