A great place for Japanese cuisine lovers with free-flow Salmon Sashimi, Snow Crab Legs, Yakitori etc. The snow crab legs were reasonably fresh with obvious long queues of people. The sashimi was ok but nothing to shout about. I was surprised to find that they have rosti and the sour cream topping was really delicious. The pasta selection was the common ones like cream and tomato base. Quite worth it for dinner if you are into crab legs. continue reading

I surprised my girlfriend with a nice dinner at kumo, she is a fan of Japanese food so she was really happy to be at this restaurant. We had their set meal, there were appetizer, the sushi moriawase and dessert. For the appetizer, we had their assorted vegetable terrine with egg yolk vinaigrette glaze. It was simply delicious, it was light and refreshing and looked really exquisite. For the sushi moriawase, there were 6 different types of sushi but there were three pieces of the futomaki sushi so in all there were 8 pieces. The sushis were really god, they used really fresh ingredients. The toro and shime saba sushi were my favourite, the toro, which is tuna belly was so fresh that it simply melts in your mouth. The sushi were served with bonito soup. The soup was really good, very tasty. For dessert, we had sakura cheese cake with strawberry sauce. This piece f cake was really wholesome, it was rich in the cheese flavour and the strawberry sauce added some sweet and sour taste. The meal was indeed worth it, it was so good, but not really for those of bigger appetites as the portion is rather small. continue reading
