I went back to try their Prime Sirloin Steak. I paid $17.50 for a piece of marinated 250 grams of beef. I was asked how do i want it to be done and i replied 'Medium'. The assistant was telling me it is most likely to be cooked to medium well since it is going to be served on the hot plate. I still insisted to have it as medium. The assistant then tell me for the use of hot plate, i will be charge $2. I was amazed. I never quite expect this. I still ended up paying the extra $2 for the usage of the hot plate.
I was asked whether to have it with butter rice, french fries or spaghetti. I decided to go with the spaghetti. I was expected to be shown the list of sides so i can choose from there but i did not get to do so. The assistant suggested carrot and butter garlic as side. I agreed since i did not know what are the other available sides.
The steak was served to my table in about 15 minutes. The presentation of the steak was quite 'bloody'. I cut the edge it was nicely done at medium. But when i cut the thicker part of the steak, it was kinda raw. I was glad i discovered it earlier so i can still use the hot plate to cook it a bit. I was approached by the same assistant asking me on the quality of food. I told him the steak was a bit too raw to my liking. He said, 'Next time, when you get your steak; you should cut open first and if it is too raw, then use the hot plate to cook it. I was taken aback by such an answer. If a customer wanted it as medium, whether hot plate or not, you should cook it till medium and served without question.
Would i go back again? Maybe not for now.

I ordered the Carbonara and topped-up for the fries and mushroom soup. The presentation is surprisingly good, with the use of clean, white polished plates. The mushroom soup was delicious- as it was thick and creamy, and had a lot of mushroom chunks! Definitely better than pizza hut's.

The fries were drizzled with some chilli powder to give it the extra omph!

The carbonara was pretty average, but it was dirt cheap ($4.90 if i'm not wrong). The only ingredients were bits of bacon and green peas though. The portion was huge!

I called my mum that my wife and i will not be back for dinner as we need to work late and we will dine out. After my work at 7.30pm, i drove to pick my wife up at her office. After picking her up, she told e she having craving for lava rock. I replied that there is a new branch opened at serangoon north and we drove to eat. We know the boss as we are his regular customer at the hougang branch. He proposed to try his new dish platter which have grilled pork, grilled chicken, grilled lamp chop with black pepper sauce. It is a big that can serve up to 2-3 person. We like the new branch as the coffee shop is more spacious compare to the hougang branch. Definitely a yes to recommend my friend to dine there.
