Date : 2012-11-13Time of visit : 7.55pmWhat/Where : Lee Kee Fried Banana @ Bedok Interchange Food CentreWhat we had : Goreng PisangAverage cost/pax : $1Ambience : Crowded/noisy. This place has always been the same since I first stepped here in the 90s.This place has provided hundreds of residents in the area their daily meals and take-aways.Old drunk uncles chit chatting happily away with their pals and the hawkers themselves. Some may find this place a little "dirty" but it's more because of the lack of "manpower" to clean it up as people come, dine, and go real quick. It's quite hot at times just like the other hawker centres.Service : Prompt delivery upon payment.Portion : crunchy on the outside, soft/fruity on the inside. Smells great. it's a lot better than some of the goreng pisang stalls which gives me the stale-left over ones. Location : It's at Bedok Interchange. Super convenient. As of the current date , the area is under heavy renovation especially the car park. I believe they're building new bigger ones. So there's limited lots. What's good in particular : No comments. What's bad in particular : No comments.ABiteOfEverything.com continue reading

This is a stall I like to patronise for fried bananas, fried green bean and fried champedak. A pity the fried champedak was not available on this occasion. The fried bananas come in medium and large sizes. I picked the large one this time round and it was really pretty big. The fried banana was crispy on the outside and juicy, sweet and soft inside. It taste better when it is eaten warm. It costs $1.20 for a piece. The fried green bean tastes delicious too but I find the size a bit small. It is very crispy and soft on the inside too. The green bean is not ground very finely and you can still bit some green bean bits. There is no oil oozing out when you bite it which I think is good else the mouth will be so oily and very unhealthy to be eating oil. It costs $0.70 for a piece. continue reading

Service of the stall owner really make a huge different for me . I doubt I will patronise them again even if the food taste good. The battered used for the banana and green bean is the same. Both taste crispy on the outside and soft inside. it still stay crispy even after a few hours. Put aside the bad service experience that I had encountered, the food from this stall is nice. continue reading
